About
A fast paced bullet hell where your ship doesn't shoot — you dash through enemies to destroy them.
The game has a variety of power-ups, enemy types, and bosses that create interesting and distinct challenges when surviving through waves. The minimalist gameplay is easy to learn but hard to master.

Roguelike: Complete all levels, defeat enemies and *super bosses*, build your strategy by choosing and upgrading power ups. Your progress is reset on death, but your upgrades are kept.
Arcade Mode: Endless waves of enemies. Test your skills and see how far you can go.
Dash: Charge the dash and release to go forward and destroy enemies and bullets in the way. Hitting an enemy will extend your dash forward, get the right angle to destroy more enemies with a single dash.
Dash Canceling: You can cancel your dash midway to stop at a better position.
Power Ups: According to the game mode you selected it will be different how you select and upgrade power ups. Power ups have specific triggers, like number of kills or dash levels.
Power ups have specific triggers, like amount of kills or dash levels.
Dash Levels: Each level requires you to destroy an amount of enemies, starting with 2. If you do it, the dash level will increase and the amount of enemies to be destroyed too. Higher levels trigger stronger power ups.
Health Restoring: After getting hit you have a chance to restore your HP by completing the challenge. It can be something that will put you in more risk, so it your choice to do it.

Super Dash developed and published by Gustavo Passos is a tightly focused arcade roguelite that builds its entire identity around a single, clever idea: eliminating enemies not by shooting them, but by dashing straight through them. This inversion of the traditional bullet-hell formula immediately sets the tone for a game that prioritizes movement, timing, and spatial awareness over conventional offense, resulting in an experience that feels both fresh and mechanically precise. The core gameplay revolves around mastering the dash mechanic. Players control a small ship within confined arenas, navigating waves of enemies and dense patterns of projectiles. Instead of firing back, survival depends on charging and releasing a dash that slices through enemies while also clearing incoming threats. This creates a dynamic where offense and defense are unified into a single action. Success comes from understanding positioning—lining up multiple enemies, anticipating movement patterns, and committing to a dash at exactly the right moment. When executed well, the game flows smoothly, with one dash leading into another, creating a rhythm that feels both fast-paced and deliberate. What makes the system engaging over time is how it rewards aggressive play while still punishing mistakes. Chaining dashes through multiple targets can extend movement and open up opportunities for continued offense, but a poorly timed dash can leave the player exposed in the middle of a chaotic battlefield. The inclusion of mechanics that allow mid-dash adjustments adds a layer of control, giving skilled players the ability to refine their approach and recover from near-misses. This balance between risk and reward is central to the game’s appeal, encouraging players to constantly push their limits. The game offers both a structured roguelite mode and a more traditional endless mode, each providing a different way to engage with its mechanics. In the roguelite mode, players progress through a series of stages, collecting upgrades that alter how their abilities function. These power-ups are often condition-based, activating automatically when certain criteria are met, which keeps the control scheme simple while still allowing for strategic variety. Over the course of a run, these upgrades can significantly change the feel of the game, enabling different approaches to combat and survival. The endless mode, on the other hand, focuses on pure endurance, challenging players to last as long as possible against increasingly overwhelming odds. Visually, Super Dash embraces a minimalist style that emphasizes clarity and responsiveness. Bright colors and clean shapes make it easy to distinguish enemies, projectiles, and movement paths, even as the screen becomes crowded. Particle effects and visual feedback are used effectively to reinforce each successful action, making every dash feel impactful. While the presentation is not complex, it is well suited to the gameplay, ensuring that players can react quickly and accurately without unnecessary distractions. The audio design supports the experience with energetic sound effects that highlight movement and impact, though it remains understated compared to the visual feedback. The overall presentation is cohesive, maintaining a consistent focus on gameplay rather than spectacle. This approach works well for a game built around quick reactions and mechanical precision, where clarity is more important than visual detail. Despite its strengths, the game’s reliance on a single core mechanic can lead to repetition over time. While enemy patterns and upgrades introduce some variation, the fundamental loop remains unchanged throughout. For players who enjoy refining a specific skill set, this can be highly engaging, but those looking for evolving mechanics or narrative progression may find the experience limited. The game is at its best in shorter sessions, where its intensity and focus remain fresh. Difficulty is another key factor in shaping the experience. The mechanics are easy to understand, but mastering them requires practice and precision. As enemy density increases and patterns become more complex, the game demands quick decision-making and careful planning. This creates a satisfying learning curve for players who enjoy skill-based challenges, though it may feel unforgiving to those less accustomed to fast-paced arcade gameplay. In the end, Super Dash succeeds by committing fully to its central idea and executing it with clarity and confidence. It transforms a familiar genre by shifting the focus from shooting to movement, creating a unique and engaging gameplay loop that stands out despite its simplicity. While it may not offer extensive variety or long-term progression, it delivers a polished and satisfying experience for players who appreciate fast, skill-driven action. Rating: 7/10
Disclaimer: I got a review copy of this game to play on stream. However, I was not asked to write a review - this is just me wanting to give my support to this cool game! I really, really like this game! The concept is simple and the tutorial does a good job guiding you through the various mechanics of the game. But as you play, you realize that there's a lot of depth here. The challenge of stringing together combos to keep activating your power ups and resetting your dash is really addictive, and incredibly rewarding when you manage to pull it off. * The almost tactile feedback of hitting the enemies is so satisfying, especially if you get an insane chain of 10+ enemies. * The combo system and power ups reward smart dashes and looking for that perfect shot (not just panic dashing like I did for the first hour). It really captures that necessary "patience amongst the chaos" mentality of bullet hell games. * The music is catchy without distracting you from the game (and praise the dev for setting music and sfx levels to 25% by default. I cannot state the number of times my ears get blasted when first opening a new game). So far I've beaten one of the super bosses, and I am very excited to play more and take down the others. I think Gustavo Passos has knocked this out of the park (and I honestly can't believe that this is their first game)! Overall, if you like bullet hells, I think you'll really like this game! If you like bullet hells AND rogue-like games, I think you will love this game!
fun game great concept and challenging and the roguelike choices add to replay-ability. only dislike is that it i would like mode for noobs who would like to play it more casually and just see all the different stages as the game becomes interesting the more levels deep you are. so like having a easy mode with like 5 lifes or something. nice sound fx and music. visuals offer good clarity. cannot open arcade mode on my linux OS. maybe its not available yet?
Definitely an addictive game. Everything about it reminds you of classic arcade games. The graphics, the simplified gameplay (which is by no means a bad thing), and THE SOUNDTRACK (OH MY GOD, WHAT A DIVINE AND ADDICTIVE MASTERPIECE, I COULD LISTEN TO IT FOR HOURS). This game catches you off guard, and before you know it, you’ve been playing for a hours and already want to start another run. Highly recommended and worth every penny (plus, it’s sold at a great price!).

I have played a LOT of the itch.io free version, but I just recently got a computer, and this is the first game I buy and play on it. 1. The Gameplay The gameplay is very fast pased, and I see that there is a LOT more content in the steam version, so I will be happy to play more. 2. Artstlye Really hits home with the arcady neon vibe. 3. Sound design I say that this area is a little lacking, but still pretty good! The combo sounds for the dash are always great. The only problem I have is that the music kinda gets repeditve after about half an hour.
