Summer In Trigue

For a yuri game this has a lot of men hitting on you.

The game is fine. The writing is kinda meh, 5 romance interests 2 I would consider good, 1 okay, one is okayisch on account that I assume some people are okay with forgiving cheaters and one was pure trash. Sometimes choices I never made seemed to have been taken into account. A lot of the time you don't get to see everything as your character seems to know stuff you never experienced making it all feel way too rushed. Buy it on a sale of like 70% or more if you are interested.

Another solid title from WinterWolves (WW), yet offering nothing truly outstanding. Overall positive experience, but nothing so special about it. Still, well above average VN / yuri / type titles. Let's say, withing genre, 8/10. Positive: + , neutral (no positive, features to taste): % , negative: - ++ lovely ladies with great bodies + steamy intimate scenes' depictions (both with uncensor DLC or without) ++ lips: finally, female characters have full lips drawn (sorely missed in many other anime / yuri titles) + polished product as expected from WW, no bugs or disjointed dialogue ++ overall attractive and memorable artistic style on characters + cats [make everything better of course] + guide and all info available immediately from developer https://www.winterwolves.net/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=4241 % half personalities and their dialogue were not particularly appealing nor interesting to me % dialogue often seemed forced and dry; choosing some options yielded responses that did not suit prior tone so much % a single chain of major events regardless of romantic pursuit and choices, which often felt unnatural % unladylike speech of otherwise feminine characters with too many swear words and such (only one character made real sense here with swearing and all) % missing more swimsuits / lingerie (and other apparel) with respect to what was expected from title and tease - some choices don't really make sense when a certain personality has been hinted to; sticking to one chain of events proved a bit much on several branches; many other WW titles have much better flow and branching congruence.

Honestly I'd love to continue playing this game but after the scene with Alex's ex bf and the HORRIFYING and RIDICULOUS dialogue with SA and content a woman absolutely would *NEVER* write I just got so angry. If you deleted the Clyde character the game would be perfect but with him in it it's so painful to play now. There should be a content warning on this game for dialogue which is extremely triggering for so many people in the scenes with that character.

우선 굉장히 Novel에 치중하고 있는 작품이라 야겜을 기대하고 들어오면 안 된다. 이 회사 게임이 DLC 구하기가 전체적으로 빡빡한데 얘는 그래도 공개가 되어 있다. 내용물은 사실 대단친 않다. 애초에 레즈물기도 해서 게임 내에서 본방이 없고 갤러리에서 벗은 버전 CG를 볼 수 있는 정도. 구도에 따라 보지가 보이는 CG도 좀 있는데 퀄리티는 형편없다. 그냥 덮어놓고 줄긋기 해놓은 거라 핑크빛이 보이지도 않음. 만들다가 말았는지 토론장에 '이거 오토 기능 어케 켬?' 이라고 물어보는 사람 답변에 개발자가 '아 맞다, 추가해야징'이라고 답해놓고는 추가가 안 됐다. 그래서 옵션에 오토 텍스트 조절 기능은 있는데 정작 오토 기능은 없음ㅋ. 텍스트가 존나게 많아서 피곤하다. 사운드 콘텐츠가 전혀 없어서 더욱 심심하다. 무슨 보이스 프로그램 같은 걸 넣어놓은 것 같던데 켜는 방법은 알려주지 않지만 어쩌다 보니 켜졌다. 근데 국어책 읽기길래 급속도로 끔. 결국 시나리오 퀄리티밖에 기대할 게 없는데 백합, 레즈물에는 몸의 대화 아니면 전혀 관심없는 나로선 꽤나 곤욕이었다. 영어를 엄청 잘하는 것도 아니라서 아무래도 진행 속도가 느릴 수밖에 없는데 내용 자체도 흥미가 없으니 원. 그래도 명색이 VN인데 시나리오를 안 보고 평가를 할 수는 없다는 일념하에 꾸역꾸역 진행을 했고, 그 와중에도 예상보다 텍스트가 너무 많아서 적당히 스킵도 섞어가며 진행했다. 즉 기본 볼륨은 내 플탐보다 훨씬 많다. 시나리오는 그냥저냥 무난하다. 이미 보빨러 인생을 살고 있던 여주가 기존 애인인 Liz와 트러블이 생겨서 해변가로 향하게 되고 거기에서 몇 주간 이런저런 히로인을 만나면서 새로 사귀거나 Liz에게 돌아가거나 등을 선택할 수 있다. 텍스트가 풍부하다고 한 만큼 스토리는 나름 디테일하게 진행되는 편이며, 주인공의 선택지가 꽤 많아서 플레이어가 게임에 관여하는 요소가 아예 없는 일자식 진행이 아니다. 히로인은 총 5명. 특히 주인공도 좆경 뺀 모습 보면 전형적인 금발백인 미녀고 히로인 디자인도 꽤 맘에 들었다. 나는 Mia와 Alex가 맘에 들어서 구입했던 것으로 기억하고 이들의 CG 퀄리티는 충분히 만족스러웠다. 야한 건 크게 중요하지 않고 음성도 없어도 되고 영어에 꽤 자신 있으며 레즈에 별 거부감이 없고 시나리오도 평타만 치면 된다는 사람만 할인할 때 구매를 고려해 볼 만한 물건. 원가는 음성도 없는 주제에 너무 비싸다. 사실 비추를 해도 이상할 건 없는데 그래도 캐릭터 디자인이 꽤 좋았던 편이라 그거 하나로 어찌어찌 추천은 하는 느낌.

[i]Summer in Trigue[/i] is a yuri visual novel developed and published by Winter Wolves. You take on the role of Sybil Harrington, a struggling writer who has trouble keeping a day job. Having been laid off from her most recent job, Sybil returns to the apartment that she's sharing with her girlfriend, Liz, who's a lawyer. However, upon returning early, Sybil is shocked to see that Liz is cheating on her. Understandably angry, Sybil leaves the apartment to stay at her cousin's place until she can get on her feet. She then decides to go ahead and take the vacation that she and Liz had planned on although she makes sure that Liz won't be able to go, deciding that some time alone to relax on a tropical island is just what she needs. During her vacation, Sybil meets some characters at the hotel she's staying at, and perhaps the start of a romance may blossom. I'll end my story synopsis here to avoid spoilers and all that. As for the gameplay, [i]Summer in Trigue[/i] has primarily choices. The choices determine how well Sybil gets along with one of five love interests: Grace (the clumsy but friendly hotel restaurant waitress), Alex (the singer who teaches elementary school students as her daytime job), Mia (the adventure tour guide), Shiori (the artist), or Liz (yes, even Sybil can choose to get back with her). As you progress through the story, you'll end up getting locked out of certain options if you don't earn enough affection points with them or make certain choices that lock them out. There are several CGs as well as Steam achievements and Steam trading cards. Of course, there is a (somewhat) varied soundtrack although no voice acting. Now that I've gone over the story and gameplay, I'll move onto my critique. It has been quite a while since I last played a Winter Wolves game, but I felt like getting back into one. It was a bit difficult to choose what to play since I've played several of them, but I wanted to go with a tropical vacation theme, so here we are. XD First, I liked the premise of the story in general. Sybil is a character who has been down on her luck (I think some of us understand how that feels), so when she discovers that Liz is cheating on her, I felt a bit of sympathy for her. Sybil is quite angry, so I understand her actions in wanting to move out and then to get away from it all. Of course, it would take such a catalyst in order for Sybil to find a new love interest. Once she's on the island, it seems like Sybil might be able to enjoy her vacation although she still thinks about Liz. However, it would be quite boring if all Sybil ends up doing is enjoy her vacation. Some drama happens, like Sybil's passport and such getting stolen and then later, the whole drama with the airline that Sybil is supposed to return to her home in California has gone bankrupt. There are quite a few events going on (even more so once Sybil is on a route), so it can feel overwhelming at times. There's a bit more drama than I would have liked although it all gets resolved in the end. I've only touched on some of it, as there's another event that happens towards the end (although I felt like it was unnecessary to have it, even if it ends up in Sybil and her chosen partner having their romantic moment). As for the cast of characters, I liked the variety. Each female that Sybil can romance has her own personal issues, some more serious than others. For the sake of brevity, I won't go into them, but I'd say that if I had to pick a personal favorite (in terms of love interest and route), I'd probably go with Grace. Grace is friendly (albeit clumsy), and for quite a long time, Sybil is under the assumption that Grace is [spoiler]only into guys[/spoiler]. Also, if Sybil later chooses to live with Grace, [spoiler]Grace will propose the idea of adopting a kitten, so yays for cuteness[/spoiler]. XD However, I liked the other females as well, like Mia (who's adventurous and isn't afraid of telling things as they are) and Alex (who has quite a bit of mystery and tends to be surrounded by guys). If I had to pick a least favorite, I'd say Shiori since she comes off as snobby initially, but as I went on her route, I found myself slowly warming up to her. As for the writing, I found it paced ok. There are time skips, but it would be boring to narrate Sybil's stay on the island of Trigue each day, so it's understandable. I noticed some typos where there are unnecessary repeating words and such, so another proofreading pass wouldn't hurt. Now, in regards to Sybil, she tends to curse and swear at times. From what I read, it used to be a lot worse, so it's been edited to tone this down. I think this is a good change, since I doubt that someone in real life would swear that much. lol I should note that in regards to the romance scenes, they don't happen until towards the end of the chosen route, and they get quite [spoiler]hot and heavy, with descriptions of sexual acts, female parts and so forth[/spoiler]. I think that this is fine, considering Sybil's nature in this area, but it might be a bit too much for those looking for more tame romance. In regards to the art, I liked the style here. I recognize it from one of Winter Wolves' earlier game, and this artist is my favorite. It has that anime, cutesy style with regards to the sprites, and the backgrounds and especially, the CGs are well done. As I mentioned earlier, I played the censored version, but there is a free adult patch, which I assume unlocks [spoiler]full on nudity in the CGs and such[/spoiler]. Regarding the music, I liked the tracks although there doesn't seem to be much variety. However, they all portray that tropical vacation theme, making the reader feel like they're away from all their troubles. As is typical of games by Winter Wolves, there's a track with singing, which I personally enjoy listening to although I can understand if it breaks immersion for others. Overall, would I recommend [i]Summer in Trigue[/i]? It's certainly not a perfect visual novel since I found a few issues and such. However, they're minor, and I enjoyed the story. Of course, I feel like the drama could have been cut a bit, but maybe that's a personal preference. Anyway, if you're looking for a visual novel with yuri romance and don't mind the drama and the occasional swearing and all that, then I recommend giving [i]Summer in Trigue[/i] a try. I enjoyed the story, and I liked going for all the romance options. The postcards/pin-ups were an especially nice touch. For the asking price, I'd say that it might be a good idea to hold off for a sale, as it took me around 7 hours to complete all of the routes and earn all of the achievements. I played a few WW games in the past and enjoyed them, so for me as a lesbian that game sounded good on paper. Sadly this game couldn't deliver for me. There is ZERO real character or relationship development and the "I forgive you" path of the cheating ex is super icky. I hate everyone in this game. Most of the time you want to leave the main character yourself. The constant (and i mean CONSTANT) need to let her have some sassy and funny inner dialoge falls totally flat and is more annoying than anything else. The game to me feels more like a ways to get some drawings with boobs (if you get the patch or haven't bought the game from Steam) than anything else. The love interests are all as deep as a sheet of paper. They all behave super strange and not in a "cute" way. This game seems to be written by only or mainly men.

Another Great VN By Winter Wolves. This is a great story and Of Course Beautiful images, though some are used in Volleyball I noticed, but I suppose that happens everywhere as only a certain amount of them are around. I ended up with Alex, who, as you find out, has an issue and it is up to you how you react to her as to what happens. She is Hot though ;p Grace is the One you come across alot, she is a really nice girl, but clumsy and I did her route. Hers is cute and obviously she is new to girl love, so it takes a bit of talking, she is, in fact, the person who makes that move. Mia ? woah, VERY out doors,, but she is a very caring person and does what ever she can for you. Shiori,, Very pretty Japanese girl,, seems posh, but it is the way she has been raised. the surprise you get about her when working in a shop is very telling,, She Likes you alot and when you do her route there is a very sad story she tells you. There is also the Liz route, her approval is not visible until the 1st phone call, so yes, you can get back with her. So, Alex is a Very Nice story and she is hot to,, Grace is cute and, lets just say you find out she is Open. Mia,,,, Is VERY funny,, very active but VERY funny and loves puns, jokes and comebacks. where jokes often confuse Grace. I REALLY do recommend This Very Yuri VN from a very good writer and artists.
