The devs clearly tried their best to imitate the Mimimi formula. And they did a pretty good job. The devs did a great job designing interesting kits for each of the playable characters. There's a bit of a balance issue as some of the characters are simply way more powerful than others. Sid's kit in particular is extremely strong, especially midway through the campaign when his kit gets modified. If I hadn't known ahead of time this was made by a different team, I probably would have guessed it was a Mimimi game... at least for the first couple of missions. But then all the jank shows up, and it's clear this was made by a less experienced team. I had a good time with this game, and it definitely scratched that Shadow Tactics / Desperados III itch, but it's clearly not as good as those games. This game was a significantly more frustrating and buggy experience than the games it's imitating. The biggest issue for me was the complete lack of any customizability for the "double click makes characters stand up and run" mechanic. Clearly I should at minimum be able to TURN THIS OFF ENTIRELY. For extra points, they could have added a slider to change the double click speed that triggers the behavior. But no, you get neither option. It's awful. This mechanic's implementation produced about 90% of my frustration with this game. The game seems horribly optimized. Frame rates would start out fine, but starts to tank the longer the game is left to run in a single session. It doesn't make sense as I'm slowly killing enemies and disappearing their corpses, meaning there are fewer things for the game engine to keep track of, but the frame rate steadily drops anyway. I suspect there's some sort of memory leak issue going on as closing the game and relaunching it consistently improves the frame rate. The game crashed quite often. The most common trigger was using Siegfried's "camera" type ability. Next most common trigger was attempting to pick up a body with Rosa. Crashes outside of these two triggers were rare. This game has the same bug found in Mimimi games where sometimes enemy states will transfer over from your current game state into a quick load. For example, enemies that are alerted in your current state will still be alerted when you load your most recent quick save even though no one was alerted when you made the save. It doesn't happen super often, and it can usually be fixed by simply quick loading again. Still annoying. Occasionally guards will get upset and sound the alarm for no clear reason. Player character pathfinding is remarkably bad. Characters frequently get stuck on each other which frequently messes up execution of multi-character plans. The sound design here was... a choice. The music in particular feels very out of place, to the point where I just muted it as it was constantly pulling me out of the game and breaking my focus. There's no option to drag a box around characters to make a control group: your only options are controlling a single character or moving the entire squad simultaneously, nothing in between. The XP system for skills is half-baked at best. I like the core idea they had where there are XP boxes for specific skills strewn about the maps in optional areas, but they should have made each box just be a full upgrade and scrapped the whole XP for kills portion of the system. And collecting all the boxes for a particular character should have resulted in all their skills being fully upgraded by the end of the campaign. Instead we have a system where it's impossible to get all your skills maxed out without grinding missions over and over for the bonus XP from side objectives. It's absurd. I don't know what the devs were thinking with this system. TLDR: Totally worth playing if for no other reason than there are not a lot of serviceable games in this genre. There's lots of jank to be had and the XP system is ass, but it's still a solid experience overall. I got this game as part of a Humble Bundle, but I would have been happy paying $15 for it on its own, so my recommendation is to get it on sale.
這類遊戲買少見少, 特價入手很值得 這款遊戲加入一點超現實與化幻元素, 有點新意, 解題方法變得更加豐富
超好玩的,通关需要思考怎样利用技能!思考怎样才能不然敌人发现通关! 像这类玩法的游戏还有《Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew》,《Desperados lll》和《Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun》都是同一个开发商设计的,玩法一模一样!
Godni następcy studia Mimimi Games
not a mimimi game, but not bad. a bit buggy but nothing terrible. no idea about the story.
Quality stealth game, solid graphics, enjoyable gameplay, recommended. storyiline: meh. same as other stealth game i say, similar to Shadow Tactics, Sumerian Six and so on.
A great entry into the realtime stealth tactics genre, something that's so underrepresented. It's got a good theme ad unique powers. A little on the easy side, but still very enjoyable.
好玩,我就喜欢动脑游戏
Si te gusto Shadow Gambit, este también lo disfrutaras
