👑 ᴋᴜʀᴀᴛᴏʀᴘʀᴏғɪʟᴇ 1 (ʀᴇᴢᴇɴsɪᴏɴᴇɴ: 1 ʙɪs 2000) 👑 ᴋᴜʀᴀᴛᴏʀᴘʀᴏғɪʟᴇ 2 (ʀᴇᴢᴇɴsɪᴏɴᴇɴ: 2001 ʙɪs 4000) 👑 ᴋᴜʀᴀᴛᴏʀᴘʀᴏғɪʟᴇ 3 (ʀᴇᴢᴇɴsɪᴏɴᴇɴ: 4001 ʙɪs 6000)
Sudoku Relax is a nicely presented and easy to use Sudoku challenge which is relaxing to play but ultimately it becomes too easy to play and lacks challenge.
My main gripe with Sudoku Relax is that there is no punishment for getting numbers wrong so if you want to there is nothing to stop you from entering numbers until the number populates and you then know it is correct. Obviously, I didn't do this, but the option is there and what I found is because there is no penalty and/or it doesn't let you enter incorrect numbers then it just became too easy, even on the difficult levels. The way I play the game is I start with number one and use the pencil option to mark where one could go on the grid, then repeat with two through to nine. Sometimes, this results in single numbers left so I know they are correct and often it results in two or more numbers showing. If there are two numbers showing and you are stuck on the grid then you can just try one of those numbers and if it is correct it will populate but if it is wrong it just doesn't let you populate the number, so you know it is the other one. For me, this took away all the challenge because once I had done this once or twice the grid then became easy to complete. I thought perhaps it was just the easy difficulty that allowed you this luxury but it is the same on normal and hard difficulty and to be honest I didn't find much difference in difficulty from the easy to the hard and easily completed the puzzles I attempted on all difficulties. There needs to be some sort of penalty for getting numbers wrong, like a life system, or just let us enter wrong numbers; Without these penalties it just makes the game a little too easy. Apart from the difficulty issues, the game is really enjoyable and is well polished and looks nice. The more levels you complete, the more soundtracks and colours you can unlock, although I don't think there is a massive range of these, and whilst you are playing the background colours change and the music is nice and relaxing, and overall it is a very pleasant experience. The user interface is quite easy to use although for some reason you are unable to use your keyboard to enter numbers and must use the wheel of numbers to the side of the grid. You can change from pencil, which temporarily places a number, or you can try and permanently enter a number, but as I said earlier there is no penalty for getting it wrong. When all of a certain number are exhausted, the number will turn grey and you won't be able to pick it again, which was a helpful addition, and once you get used to using the wheel you find that it is quite efficient and user friendly. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3609585251 When you have completed the grid you are shown the results but I wasn't quite sure what the grid was showing me, and there is no quit button anywhere that I could find and had to close the game down using my taskbar. There are three hundred levels in total split between one hundred easy, one hundred normal, and one hundred hard levels, which do not need to be unlocked and can be accessed at any time, and there are achievements for completing x amount of levels.
🍳Conclusion🍳

Sudoku Relax is a pleasant and relaxing Sudoku game with lots of content and an easy user interface. Aesthetically it looks nice and sounds chilled and more colours and sounds are unlocked as you play. My main issue with the game is its difficulty however and I found it too easy due to there being no penalties for getting numbers wrong, in fact it won't let you enter a wrong number, and this ultimately makes the game too easy. Because it is a nice game and presented well I could still recommend it but I would welcome some difficulty changes to make it even better.

Thank you for reading my review. This is a good beginner sudoku game Works great with a controller Looks and sounds nice Unfortunately you can't missplace numbers, the game won't let you and there's no option to turn this off.
After a surprisingly long wait, the Steam port of Sudoku Relax is finally here and freed from the Switch prison it was stuck in. Whilst it's visuals are not quite as polished nor its settings as comprehensive as the previously released Sudoku Classic, what's here is still a delightfully presented edition of the classic logic puzzle. It being on PC means we also have keyboard and/or mouse controls available in addition to controller support, which makes for some very comfortable solving indeed. This series was always one of my favourites on the Switch and still is, honestly, so I'm very much looking forward to picking up the sequels when they get ported over as well. RuckyGames make the finest modern sudoku games out there for consoles and PC, in my opinion. The combo of interesting puzzles and excellent presentation with clean intuitive UI puts it above a lot of other choices available on the market today. Obviously, you're not going to be super challenged if you prefer the (in my opinion, excessive) variants shared by the popular YouTube channel Cracking The Cryptic, but that's precisely why they have their own games available for you - to me, those ones are too difficult out of the box and the UI is incomprehensible and messy, and it's all just too much when all I want is to just sit down and solve some good old Sudoku for a while. And that's why these games from Rucky are the best to me. Plus at these price points, it's a steal, in my opinion. Can't complain at all. If you like your regular plain Sudoku/Number Place/Numpla puzzles, get this.
