I was one of the testers for the game (I challenge you to find bugs... lol) and enjoyed the game then, and replaying it on Steam it's a match-3 game with special features - puzzles and the puzzles also in the levels, where you really need to think and plan your moves to complete the levels, so it's not just a simple match-3 game the game has different modes - relaxed, timed (regular or expert) and limited moves (also regular or expert) - so, you can play with additional challenges if you're so inclined - you can also choose if you want to generate power-ups on the board, or play without any help from those I really and sincerely recommend the game!
This is a 90 level optional timed/ltd moves/relaxed cutesy match 3 with a twist, along with non arcade simple mini-games – M2, hidden object etc. It’s a bit different than their spooky dwellers M3 game but similar. Those were CE, here it’s not but as of writing I’m not sure there will be a CE elsewhere but too soon to say. You can change options at any time. Under timed and limited moves there are 2 options – normal and hard. The slight twist is that it is more of a make a path Match 3 – make matches between either the cat and the object needed to collect usually fish/present until a path between both is formed and the cat will automatically move. There are a lot of different game mechanics that keep it interesting and even on relaxed you’ll find a mild sense of accomplishment when you work out what order to do things. On some levels you can get locked out if you don’t do things in the right order. I don’t recommend their spooky dwellers games if you like to 100% and don’t like timing/reaction as in their arcade minigames I found a couple of their achs hard/time consuming. But I did like their gameplay, this game is different to that gameplay and I loved this.
100%
- Play 1 level timed and another level limited moves, can be done in easiest setting and very easy. - Couple of specific levels have to be done in limited moves, but those are quite easy. If you keep all the powerups you are given in the top bar and only use them on these, you’ll sail through them as powerups don’t count as a move. - Do all minigames, no need to perfect them, just do them. - You’ll have plenty of money to buy all items to decorate. - To get all gold cups just require you to get rid of the brown boxes before completing objective/end level. - You can do most levels on relaxed and still 100%. - Stars are only on some levels - make a match at the open part of the box to get it. If you have played their spooky dwellers games before you’ll find it easier to get going but it could be a bit overwhelming/confusing if you haven’t as there really aren’t any simple tutorial levels, although there are instructions. There is an excellent book at the top if you forget game mechanics but be prepared to take 10 mins at the beginning to get the hang of it. I was feeling lazy and played this mostly on relaxed so can’t say how challenging it would be on the other settings (I think it would be especially on harder setting) but what I loved was that it wasn’t a mindless game nor was this too much thinking but just the ‘goldilocks’ fun keep you engaged. SYNOPSIS Appeal to everyone with all the playable options, easy to 100%, cutsey fun, decorate room, a slight twist on the usual M3 keeps it fresh and fun. Easy recommendation. Hey hey, we got another curator connect review comin' at ya, so grab a cup of cocoa and get ready for some cozy gaming! Today we're joined by none other than Colonel Kurtz to get into the holiday spirit by playing some Suddenly Meow Christmas! First of all, this game is overflowing with cute. Kitty cats, candy canes, Christmas tree by the fire. How did the overall theme strike you colonel? I’ve seen horrors… horrors that you’ve seen. Ok, not a cutesy kind of guy, I get it. The match three levels are fun though, guide the kitty cats to the gifts. That's about as wholesome as it gets. And I remember… I… I… I cried. I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn’t know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. The holidays do that to some people I guess. At least the mini games are a nice touch, right? A bit of hidden object, some sliding puzzles. Something for everyone in there! Horror and moral terror are your friends. If they are not then they are enemies to be feared. Uhh, I think we're about out of time. I appreciate you stopping by colonel, and tune in next time folks, for another super cozy casual family game! This is Otter, signing out! You’re an errand boy, sent by grocery clerks, to collect a bill.

Are my methods unsound?
A charming little gift for Christmas. A match 3 with hidden objects, pairs and puzzle minigames. You are the granddaughter that brings her cats to her grandmother's house. The two lovely fur babies are Tim (the calico one) and Spooky (the black one). When the owners are not at home, Tim and Spooky kind of went overboard with their Christmas party. They are set to repair the house, thus saving Christmas, before the owners get back home. PROS: - Music puts you in the jolly mood; - Simple story (Tim and Spooky ruining and saving Christmas); - Match 3 (main game) with finding pairs, finding items, arrange the puzzle images (minigames); - Easy to learn mechanics; - Easy to moderate difficulty to obtain Achievements; CONS: - None at the moment. In conclusion, I recommend this game to everyone. It is a cute relaxing game for Christmas.
Excellent addition to the standard match three holiday fare. Bonus points for including the word 'Christmas' in the title, and for adding the unique and satisfying twist of guiding Tim and Spooky to their favorite things. Solidly rounded out with cozy mini games, house decorating, and a lovely soundtrack. Very modestly priced too, for maximum stocking stuffage.
Charming game for the holidays. If you were intimidated by the difficulty of the puzzles in the earlier Suddenly Meow games, it's been toned down for this installment. The 90 levels still have you mostly creating pathways between the hero cats and the fish or gifts they want so the felines can then reach their desired items. But there are less obstacles in the way and less ways to do things in the wrong order (which can completely mess things up in some levels). Some levels are of the traditional "clear all tiles" variety. In between M3 levels, there are a number of minigames (HOS, slider variety jigsaw puzzles, and memory card games) which will help you build up extra gold for reconstructing Grandma's living room, which the cats have playfully wrecked early on. Tim and Spooky also find other ways to get into mischief, but I'll leave that for you to find out. It's definitely different with the "pathway" mechanic, but if you want something which isn't just another M3, recommended.

So quirky and cute!! I have been loving this game for it's chill-factor through this Holiday Season while also listening to cheesy Christmas and New Years movies and maybe I'll even check out it's various level options throughout the year. Oh, did I mention challenging? It also offers more than the per-usual Match 3 due to various puzzle levels. Recommended for Casual Gamers that appreciate unique game play in their M-3 games.
Clever games curator review: 5/10. I enjoy match 3 games on mobile, even though they are all pretty much the same, so I was enthusiastic to try a desktop Match 3, especially one that was trying to do something different. But in the end it's pretty mediocre. There are various "new" ideas there, the most prominent being that your matches help build a path for your "cat" to follow so it can eat all the fish on the level. This idea has potential, but as implemented it's not that much fun. My biggest complaint is that only the very first match counts, and any combos scored are ignored. But finding combos is pretty much the part that elevates match 3 from idle clickers, in my mind. And none of the other new ideas really brings that much novelty to the genre to even be worth discussing. It's just OK in other ways too - graphics, music, sound, powerups, and how it presents its instructions and explains its UI (screens of text!!). And the price for all this is absurdly high. This is the kind of game that screams for a "meh" option in the steam ratings. If this were a dev's first release I'd probably do thumbs up, but this publisher has 30+ other games, they should know better, so thumbs down.
