Information / Review English
Subzero Stealth is a published tactical action game developed by Verona Interactive. The game is still in development, so bugs may occur from time to time.
Gameplay / Story
A city so beautiful to behold. The people there live in peace. But one day, the village and its inhabitants are ravaged by war. The idyll is shattered, and death, smoke, and a destroyed village remain. We play a nameless mercenary who has received a contract. We must fight our way through this city, where danger lurks around every corner. We must proceed carefully, because every step could be our last. Our enemies are not mindless soldiers; they think ahead and develop a strategy to confront us. They set traps, surround you, encircle you, or lure you into an ambush. In the mission, we can weaken the enemy soldiers by disabling radars or sending our drone to get a more accurate overview of the situation by locating hidden soldiers, which gives us an advantage in battle so that we can survive.
Pros
+ Successful combination of tactics and strategy elements + Tactical battles + Challenges, surprises, and gripping moments + Detailed, devastated city recreated + Several customization options + Reasonable price/performance ratio
Cons
- Few languages available so far
Conclusion
Subzero Stealth offers a successful combination of tactics and strategy elements. It offers good content despite its development phase.
Parachuted into a frozen warzone with nothing but a gun, a drone, and my terrible decision-making skills. Enemies flanked me, my drone judged me, and radar trucks exploded on schedule. Every firefight felt like an exam I forgot to study for. It's okay-ish I guess. Would freeze and panic again. ❄️💀🔫 Follow my curator page for more tactical disasters, battlefield regrets, and games that prove I should never be in charge of anything! 💸🎮✨ https://store.steampowered.com/curator/42602807-Osiris-Reviews/
Tried playing on the steam deck and it's unplayable currently, unfortunately. Runs very poorly and eats up an entire battery in about 30 mins. Would love some optimizations, but even moreso I'd love some graphics settings so I can tweak the settings myself. Controller support & mouse sensitivity would also be really important. As for the game itself; I'd like to be able to test it out but I can't until it's better optimized. Leaving a positive review in the hopes the dev continues working on it, but I'm probably gonna try for a refund until the game is in a better state. No point in keeping a game I can't even play, and I've been burned by too many other indie devs who release early access games and then never update anything. Sorry, I really do hope to see more in the future though once the game's in a better state.
Game is neat for what it is, Ai slightly aim bot but not overkill, only ran into one vehicle that you can drive, car mechanics are fairly good but it you hit an ai you car dead stops which is meh, not gear selection unfortunately but for 5 bucks it passes the time. Hopefully the DEV adds more to it over time but for now it'll be my, knock out a few quick kills games before going to sleep. Otherwise graphics are there, i'll hang on to the game to see whats in the future.
Pretty cool game. AI noises are kinda clumsy but honestly that adds to the fun in a weird way. the game keeps you on edge…super intense experience. environment is really immersive, and the map design is excellent with some nice surprises to say the least….wouldn’t want to play it at night again …no minimap makes you stay aware, which adds to the immersion feels like a solid night-vision simulator, and audio details are really well done. excited to see how this evolves!
Alright, so Subzero Stealth is one of those games that really makes you think before you pull the trigger. It’s not your typical “run in guns blazing” kind of deal…if you do that, you’re toast. What Stands Out? The Atmosphere Hits Hard: The city feels completely wrecked, in the best way possible. Everything destroyed, smoky, and eerie, a really haunting war-torn vibe. Enemies Actually Use Their Brains: Unlike other games where enemies just wait around to be shot, these guys feel like real soldiers. They set traps, flank you, and force you to play smart. I had this one moment where I was sneaking through a ruined building, and just as I thought I was safe, an enemy squad flanked me from two sides. Stealth That Feels Rewarding: You’re not just sneaking for the sake of it—using tech, cover, and distractions actually makes a difference. Outsmarting enemies feels incredibly satisfying. Customize How You Play: Whether you want to be a sneaky assassin or a more tactical shooter, you’ve got options. Already Fun to Play: Even though it’s still a work in progress in early development, it’s surprisingly polished and engaging. You can tell there’s a lot of potential, and it’s only going to grow from here. Final Thoughts Don’t sleep on this one. It’s already a blast in early access, and with more updates on the way, now’s the best time to jump in and be part of its evolution. Unlike other shooters where enemies just stand around, Subzero Stealth keeps you on your toes with smart AI, rewarding stealth, and intense firefights. If you’re into tactical shooters with a stealthy edge, this is one not to miss.
I'm not the biggest gamer on the planet, but what I appreciated about this game is that it drops you right into an atmospheric environment. I enjoyed the stealth approach; danger all around and the character is sneaking about, avoiding detection - and when it's on, it's on. I loved the drone option, too. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this game develops - there's plenty of atmosphere and it gets brutal.
Напряженный тактический шутер от третьего лица. Вы — последний солдат в разрушенной деревне, где каждый шаг может стать роковым. Умные враги, стратегические цели и разведывательный дрон в комплекте.
Great game concept, I personally like stealth and tactical shooting games. The night vision and tactical combat is really interesting on this game, feels like a 3rd-person-shooter puzzle where all your movements are relevant to the progression on the mission. The game is hard, tough, it will make you sweat but it's really rewarding and entertaining if you have nerves of steel! The map is amazing, locations are well designed. It's an early stage game with some quirks and bugs, but it adds up as a fun part of the experience.
Has promise. Very minimal and a lot of work to be done.
