Thought I'd like it more than I do. It's not all that bad, it just didn't grab me as much as I'd hoped it would. Graphics are good, story is solid, sound is fine. Not sure what it's missing for me, perhaps it's too short looped in scenes / sound, idk. Recommend getting it on sale, giving it a not recommended overall, but that's more of a "me thing". It's not bad, just not for me.

Surprisingly good. Solid, pretty funny back-and-forth, with characters and a story I was able to get surprisingly invested in, for a parody porn game. I may have come to shlick and laugh, but I stayed for the plot and decently fun tactical gameplay! :>
Subverse is what happens when a sci-fi parody, tactical RPG, shoot-’em-up, and adult visual novel are all placed on the same spaceship. The biggest strength is its presentation. The environments, animated scenes, voice acting, and colorful crew give the game far more polish than the average adult title. Its crude humor will not work for everyone, but the story fully commits to being an over-the-top space adventure. Gameplay alternates between turn-based grid battles and arcade-style spaceship combat. Both provide a welcome break from the visual-novel sections, although neither system is especially deep. Missions can become repetitive, and the pacing occasionally slows when the game moves between story, combat, and relationship progression. Despite those issues, recruiting new crewmates, improving loyalty, and unlocking additional content creates a satisfying progression loop. It is not the massive space RPG its presentation sometimes suggests, but it offers considerably more actual gameplay than many games in the genre. I came for an intergalactic adventure. I stayed because my crew was somehow more dangerous than the evil empire.
The way you eat is truly unappetizing.

I'm only lvl 4 but as far as adult games go this one is pretty good. defiantly good for the price. The writing is funny, the voice acting is great, the cartoon females are hot; you know, for cartoons. the ground combat is a turn based, board game, and it's okay. The space combat as far as I am concerned, sucks. It's 3rd person, top down view, which doesn't bother me, it's the flight control mechanics that are locked into keyboard for ship direction, and mouse for ship orientation. meaning you have to focus on what both hands are doing at all times while in combat, with waves of a dozen or more, dodging roids, and trying to shoot something. Let me tell you, getting you left hand to cooperate with the right hand, to fly a ship with any measure of control, goes out the window in combat. They should have made the mouse steer the ship limiting the keyboard to just forward and reverse. Good thing they let you tap out after 3 attempts. or I would still be in training. Seriously DEVs WTAF were you thinking? other than that I like the game and for the price, recommend it. of course I'm getting it for -75% off $9.99 If I had paid more than $20 It would have been a disappointment. P.S. did you really think I wouldn't mention the sexual content? Not bad. not bad at all P.S.S. Okay the voice acting is very good, and the story can be funny AF, and a tear jerker too.
