About
Studio Sim is a strange art game created by a painter. Make paintings by layering and positioning stickers, then ship them via a freight elevator to elevate your social status.
Shipped paintings from Studio Sim get posted to various social media websites as part of the Studio Sim Gallery!
Use wonky prefab patterns and shapes as tools to make abstract paintings.

Hang your finished works in the gallery and invite Studio Sim visitors to come and react to your work.

I am an achievement hunter. In the community I'm a curator, I try new games. Are they fun? Are they fast completions? I do this not just to finish games, but to explore them. I do it because I love games. Since I was very small. I also love helping others find games they love. I've played thousands, I have thousands more on my library, and few games have drawn me in like Studio Sim. It's not for everyone, it's a game that truly depends on your creativity. I myself dont fancy myself an artist nor a creator. I've written songs, I was a singer once, I did theater, I am an entertainer and for a while I even reviewed games, but I burn out quickly and passionately. I like experiencing everything, Studio Sim is something I hadnt experienced before. A game that gives you a blank canvas and somewhat limited tools and dares you to be original. It's very rough, it looks goofy, the music will have you grinding your teeth after the 4th loop. But if you start looking beyond that it is not without it's fascinating nooks and crannies to explore, maybe even more so than I expected at first. I am glad to support weird projects like these and recommend them to other games. We need more creativity and originality in today's industry, and as someone who has been gaming for the better part of 4 decades, we DEFINITELY need more positively weird entries like Studio Sim. Sick of copy-pasted and AI slop reviews? Me too. Check my other reviews here. Long live independent games.

An interesting creative game idea. I don't think I've played anything like it.
Really fun game! Studio Sim is a shining example of how limitations breed creativity, plus all of the extras are fantastic, you definitely have to play until you find the art critic.
This game truly allows me to live out my struggling artist roleplay Works great on steam deck too! Would definitely reccomend for anyone looking for a chill time.
Studio Sim filled a hole in my game collection that I didn't know I had! You don't have to be an artist to enjoy this game and get lost in creating your own works. I found out that the shapes and patterns available to use come from the dev's own paintings, which added a special touch. For non-artists, there are optional commissions to complete that give you a better idea of what you can create. This is definitely a game I would go into without looking anything up about it since it has a few fun surprises to discover. I really liked the music in the game, but it's also a perfect game for chilling out and putting on your own music. For 3 bucks you can't go wrong :)
Studio Sim is the weirdest game I think I've ever played. I read the description. I watched the thumbnail video on Steam. I created an understanding in my head of what I was about to play, and yet I was still 95% wrong, and I like that. It's a unique, haphazard (or maybe not at all) puzzle game with great and terrible music - more on that later - where you try to make money by recreating paintings using other smaller pieces of premade art. You buy things from a shop that seemingly have no place in the game but so far I haven't regretted a single purchase. At one point I threw a basketball out a window not expecting it to be able to be thrown out the window, but there it went and I was sad because I thought I lost my ball. Thankfully the ball came back to me. After playing the game for over 90 minutes, I have two regrets: (1) I want to unlock the coin pusher game but don't know if I'll have the patience to make and sell that much art, and (2) I spent 90 minutes listening to what my ears translated to my brain as nails on a chalkboard in the inside of a thumping tuba being played by a teenager inspired with a sense of power over his family as he realizes his mandated practice hours can do double-duty as a school-sponsored activity to annoy his parents and siblings. After 90 minutes of this music, I realized that I could change the music track in game and that's the 2nd regret. I'm 100% certain the song wasn't as bad as I'm describing it now, but it wasn't until I started listening to the other songs that I realized how much I hated that one particular song. "I keep returning to it because it shouldn't work and it absolutely works" is a small part of the description the game gave me of my first custom piece of art I made. I sat there smiling, reading the ridiculously long and detailed analysis the game created of the art I just made, which connected the color, lines and patterns in the art to the silly description I wrote about my piece. If you couldn't tell, these generated art descriptions are the inspiration for this long-winded but hopefully very descriptive review of the game I just devoted a portion of my night to. And I feel that this description will apply to this game for me as I think I'm going to need to unlock more stuff just so I can fully appreciate all of its eccentricity.
I've been having quite a bit of fun playing this so far! I am a big fan of art gallery games and this one has been moved to the top of my list. Very excited to see what is added to the game!
a really great modern art game 10/10!
Super cool game so far. I initially was surprised all the art tools are these stamps. I think sometimes with art I tend to worry about getting things "perfect" when it comes to making, and being forced to explore the possibility space with these stamps and using them for the commissions I feel like helps me embrace this sort of messiness that is true of all expression and making. I ended up being really surprised at what I could make and it had my gears turning after the first painting or two. Also, the items I can buy with my commission money are unconventional unlocks and are really fun to play around with.
this is the real deal: true to life art studio simulation. all you have to do is bring your own cigs. 10/10
