StretchBot is a retro platformer with tonnes of action, a compelling story and an ear warming soundtrack that will keep players coming back for more. The adventure is set in a rundown world where both steam-punk and cyber-punk aesthetics collide in stunning 16-bit pixel art.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. Copies below reflect the player base, not paid sales.

I'm always scouting out new indie platformers on Steam & this is a GOOD ONE!!! XD My only "gripe" is you are being timed. Sometimes wish you could just soak everything in...

Adorable and well functioning but pretty basic platformer You can watch my first impressions of this game starting at 5 minutes into this livestream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zE91zeJUM0 I gave this game an first impressions score of an 86% but that score could be higher if the developer would make sliders for the music and sound volumes rather than just off and on options.

A fun little platformer with decent challenge and nice variety thanks to an upgrade system. Not a very long game, but it's good for killing some time, and I find myself going back to get collectibles I missed and collecting scrap for upgrades (because I'm a bit of a completionist, lol). Nothing groundbreaking here, but overall a very good time that scratches that nostalgic itch. Highly recommended for anyone who loves retro platformers.
This game feels like a retro throwback that came straight from the 90s, for better and for worse. The good news is that it's MOSTLY for the better. The chip tune tracks, dialogue boxes and animations all will remind you of booting up a Windows 95 PC and putting in a floppy disk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sumBnt3kJd0 That said, the movement feels a bit rigid and clunky at times and ontroller support is present but could use some polishing, but none of these truly hinders your ability to enjoy the game.
StretchBot, from Canadian studios M5 Games, was initially released for IOS and Android. This is an adventure and platform title that now sees its PC adaptation. This is the story of a steam robot called Stretch, a third generation robot that made a living using its powerful retractable arms. The plot begins when the affable robot wakes up in an old iron surrounded by the macabre vision of thousands of other robots with similar faces, all made in pieces or completely destroyed. This is the catalyst for the need to know why it has been disabled and left to rust. After recovering its shape, Stretch crosses the junkyard and finds a world divided and on the verge of destruction by the hand of a young scientist, who wants to acquire power in exchange for the crystals that feed this world. The new fleet and robotic creation of this scientist is fed by the crystals and a force called “ecological hackers” emerges with the mission to stop the scientist before the complete destruction of the world. The player thus sees himself as Stretch, the main protagonist and his mission to save the World. The game mechanics are quite simple, however somewhat heavy and sometimes frustrating. In this sense, the adaptation of a mobile phone game to the PC is quite visible. It is possible to play a total of 24 levels separated by 3 locations with different backgrounds and which in the end are channeled into a battle against the "Boss" of that location. At your disposal the player has a small arsenal of skills that help him in the most diverse situations. Skills like the jetpack that can help you access higher areas, or even make it easier to jump to another, more distant platform, the possibility of firing as well as the ability to execute a melee attack with more range, are some of these examples. As in other titles of the genre to use these skills it is necessary to use small purifications of the blue bar referring to the special abilities. To recover it, the player just needs to catch the small drops left randomly on the map. Adding nothing special to the genre's game library, StretchBot is a small title with mechanics and movements that can sometimes be quite frustrating. A very pleasant soundtrack with 13 different and graphically desirable tracks, in the style of 16-bit pixel art. Old school feeling retro platformer with some interesting mechanics. Robot upgrades, lots of collectibles and replayability, timed speed runs, and a magnificent chiptune soundtrack. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1VYM5QSTnU
