Bit too slow
Great wargame in the Strategic Mind series ! The tutorial is excellent and will be a good aid to any new players to the genre. The Campaign and scenarios are very good too. Get this great game now !

nice game
Strategic Mind: Fight for Freedom is a large-scale turn-based strategy game set during World War II that places players in command of Allied forces throughout some of the conflict's defining military campaigns. Developed and published by Starni Games, the title continues the studio's tradition of combining historical authenticity with intricate tactical gameplay. Rather than focusing on fast-paced action, it delivers a thoughtful command experience where every decision influences the outcome of prolonged military operations. The game successfully blends historical events with an imaginative alternate-history continuation, offering a campaign that feels both educational and entertaining for strategy enthusiasts. The story unfolds through two major campaigns that allow players to experience the war from both British and American perspectives. Each operation is inspired by real military events, featuring famous battles and theaters that shaped the course of history. Once the historical campaign concludes, the game ventures into an alternate timeline where geopolitical tensions escalate into a new conflict involving the Western Allies and the Soviet Union. This creative extension adds fresh scenarios that go beyond historical expectations while maintaining the strategic depth that defines the series. It gives veterans of the genre additional content that feels meaningful rather than simply extending the campaign length. Combat is built around classic hex-based tactical gameplay where careful planning consistently outperforms reckless aggression. Every battlefield demands attention to terrain, positioning, reconnaissance, supply management, and combined-arms tactics. Infantry, armored vehicles, artillery, aircraft, and naval forces all possess unique strengths that must be coordinated effectively to overcome enemy defenses. Weather conditions and environmental hazards further complicate each mission, forcing players to adapt their approach instead of relying on a single winning strategy. Success depends on understanding how every unit contributes to the larger battlefield rather than focusing on individual engagements alone. One of the game's strongest features is its emphasis on army development throughout the campaign. Units that survive multiple battles gain valuable experience and become increasingly effective over time, encouraging players to protect their veteran forces instead of treating them as expendable resources. Equipment upgrades, specialized commanders, and additional abilities allow armies to evolve gradually, giving players numerous ways to customize their fighting force. This progression system creates a satisfying sense of continuity, making every victory and every hard-fought survival feel rewarding as the campaign advances. The presentation supports the strategic gameplay with detailed three-dimensional battlefields, historically inspired military vehicles, and cinematic mission briefings that provide valuable context before each operation. Character interactions and voice acting help connect the player to the larger historical narrative, while the orchestral soundtrack reinforces both the tension of combat and the significance of major offensives. Although visuals are not designed to compete with action-focused blockbusters, they effectively communicate battlefield information while maintaining an authentic wartime atmosphere. The game also deserves recognition for encouraging players to think beyond simply defeating enemy forces. Optional objectives, strategic decisions, and mission-specific challenges reward careful planning and exploration instead of straightforward attacks. Supply routes, defensive positioning, and resource preservation become just as important as offensive capability. These mechanics create a more realistic representation of military command, where long-term planning often proves more valuable than immediate battlefield victories. Its complexity, however, means the game is best suited for players who appreciate deep strategy systems. The numerous mechanics governing logistics, weather, terrain, upgrades, and unit specialization require patience to fully understand. Individual missions can be lengthy, and recovering from poor tactical decisions is rarely easy. While experienced strategy fans will likely enjoy this level of challenge, newcomers may need time to become comfortable with its deliberate pacing and demanding learning curve. Strategic Mind: Fight for Freedom succeeds by delivering an intelligent and highly rewarding strategy experience that respects both military history and thoughtful game design. Its combination of authentic campaigns, engaging alternate-history content, detailed tactical mechanics, meaningful unit progression, and strong historical presentation creates a compelling package for fans of classic turn-based warfare. Although its complexity limits its appeal to casual audiences, players willing to invest the necessary time will find a rich and satisfying World War II strategy game that rewards careful planning and tactical mastery. Rating: 8/10
