Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Played this for nearly 100 hours, if you like sitting there doing nothing for a long time while the opposition make their moves. Too slow for me now, time to uninstall.
I am a fan of this series. War in Europe is much more accessible to play than the one where you have to play both Europe and Pacific-I find that a bit too much on my plate. This game has a lot of great options such as Research and Diplomacy. You can pick and choose which countries you play to simplify things even more. You can even play with friends in a hot seat mode. Fog of War and weather is also modeled, as well as key historical "random events" which you can turn on or off individually for a great deal of customization. No two games need be alike, making for lots of re-playability.
The game is an incredible strategic game of the hex and chit "war game" genre. Despite the depth and overall complexity, the entry learning needing is minimal. An overall addictive and engrossing experience.

fun w/o a lot of work.
It's certainly returned a high ROI - but buy it on sale. It reminds of the ancient SPI board game War in Europe - so many units that the scaling feels off. Especially off are naval fleet actions - there ARE no fleets as such: each unit takes up its own hex at all times. And I haven't the zones of control at sea since the equally ancient SPI Sixth Fleet. You will also never see a naval unit sink strike from one strike, as happened repeatedly historically - HSM Hood, HMS Barham, HMS Royal Oak, HMS Barham. The AI LOVES to 'exploit' gaps - which a human player can exploit. Partisans are included - which could be great if the best counter to Tito wasn't a full Panzer corps. Recommendation: Buy it - but on sale, and be prepared to be annoyed if you know history.
pretty much a bullet proof game. challenging AI and good historical feel. ability to make broad strategic choices. should the Germans put everything into a middle east push? would it be worth it to gain all those oil resources? what about a rocket force, or is that just wasted resources? many possibilities and great replayabillity. I am finding some activites a bit tedious however. upgrading units is both necessary and fun. however, when you have dozens of units to upgrade every couple turns the manual nature of the task can become tedious.
