Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Is it good enough to play? Yes Is it fun? Sort off. I mean there are definatly quality of life things that could be done or should be with the equipment, weapons, and accessory lists. The cut scenes are fair to good, some are even cool. Is it worth a AAA price? Well.. Other FF games are stronger than this one. It being one of the newest certainly is cool, but I'd have to say buy it on sale as a back up game or main to play for a while. Doesn't quite feel like a classic in the making but it might age well in time.
Overrated trash, people say it's Nioh lite and just as good as any other souls game. OR they say it's a hidden gem. What it actually is is watered down soda with not enough syrup. Nioh blows this game out of the water and to compare it to such is a disgrace. The job system is cool but it's really dumb how they want you to unlock all the classes for meta progression instead of just being able to play what you want. The endgame is dog water as well. Jack pulls out an iPod though, so that was cool

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 25: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.89/day in the week to Aug 4 → 3/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

kinda dumb, very fun, its meme status is super forced.
It was ok. Super short, very simple souls-like/gaiden-like combat. Boss telegraphs were fairly poor (varying from excellent to needing to put in multiple different defensive commands in perfect synergy with no telegraphs) and gear is pretty meh since everything is just a stat stick. Not very difficult even doing everything ten to twenty levels under the recommended on the highest base difficulty (a higher level is unlocked after a story playthrough) I think its best strengths are the combat system tied with the classes/cross classes. They all boil down to being very samey only a few hours in, but they are at least flair. I think the worst offense (base game only here, no interest in buying or playing the dlc) was the mob variety was very low. I feel like it was less than twenty to thirty mobs and fifteen to twenty bosses.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a bold experiment a Souls-like infused with the essence of Final Fantasy. Developed by Team Ninja, it blends challenging, fast-paced combat with the magic, job systems, and world-building that fans of the series know and love. The result is a game that feels both familiar and refreshingly different. The story starts off mysterious but quickly grows into something genuinely intriguing, filled with emotion and unexpected twists. What begins as a straightforward quest to defeat Chaos slowly transforms into a tale about fate, sacrifice, and the blurred lines between heroism and darkness. It’s an unusual take on the Final Fantasy I mythos, but one that pays off with a surprisingly strong narrative payoff. Gameplay-wise, Stranger of Paradise truly shines. There’s a wide variety of classes (Jobs) to unlock as you progress each offering unique playstyles, abilities, and synergies. Experimenting with different builds is both fun and rewarding, especially as you fine-tune your equipment and skills for tougher battles. Choosing the right class for each mission becomes essential to success, and mastering your preferred combination feels deeply satisfying. In addition to the main story, the game offers side missions that help you level up, gather gear, and explore more of the world’s lore. Managing your equipment and crafting the right upgrades can make a big difference especially against the game’s challenging bosses. After finishing the main campaign, Stranger of Paradise opens up an endgame packed with high-level content, giving players a reason to return and push their builds even further. It’s a great way to extend the experience, offering replayability for those who want to perfect their strategies and test their skills. Overall, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is an unexpected gem a stylish, brutal, and satisfying mix of Souls-like action and Final Fantasy spirit. Its combat depth, engaging progression, and surprising story make it one of the most unique entries in the franchise.
I beat it. Combat is fun. Story is particularly upsetting. Characters are one dimensional. It tries to shoehorn a plot that is supposed to follow the original FF1. It not only doesn't stick the landing, it crashes and burns HARD. 5/10 overall.
