Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Sep 2 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I love this game probably because it has a sentimental value to me. I played this game since PS1 when I was little, early 2000. The game is called Harvest Moon: Back to Nature. Now that I'm an adult, I can relive my childhood by playing this game from my computer, with a better and modern graphic to it. This game brings so much memories. Love this game to bits!
its not like old harvest moon . this one is super boring.

Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town was one of the first games I remember playing on the Gameboy growing up. For a computer adaptation, Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is pretty good! I wish there was compatibility with non-xBox controllers, or that the hit marker would follow my mouse, but those are my only complaints so far. I love how nostalgic the music and characters are, and also enjoy the new additions to the game! If you play Stardew Valley and want to see one of the inspirations for that game, this is it!

Steam could really use a "neutral" recommendation for their review system. I honestly find it difficult to decide one way or another if I recommend Friends of Mineral Town or not. It's more complicated than a simple Yes or No. Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is an enhanced remake of the original Harvest Moon: Back to Nature (PSX) and Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town (GBA). It plays pretty much the same, for the most part, although there are some minor changes, additions, and quality of life improvements over the originals. So you'd think this would be the best way to experience one of the better Harvest Moon games nowadays? I thought so as well, but ended up somewhat disappointed. It's not like the game itself is bad. As I've said, it's mostly the same as the originals. It's a fairly simple farming sim with cartoony aesthetics and positive vibes. The gameplay does show its age, especially when compared to something like Stardew Valley, but there are several QoL improvements over the original games that make FoMT quite pleasant to play. So, what's the problem then? Well, this may sound weird, but the game simply doesn't "feel right". The overall aesthetics have been changed drastically. Even though the series has always been very anime-like, and used super deformed designs, this new version makes everything look like a very cheap mobile game. The graphics are very simple and the game really shouldn't be difficult to run even on an ancient machine. That alone would be fine if not for the changes of all character designs. Certain characters look decent, or do improve over the originals in some ways, but the majority of others have been changed so much they not only no longer resemble the original designs, but are not pleasant to look at in general. Some of the characters look even more cartoony than they did before, or completely lost their uniqueness (like Gray, Cliff, Won, to name just a few). I thought I would get used to this after a while, but no. In some cases I ended up disliking several characters because of their new designs, which made them even less masculine, boring and uninteresting. And that's not all. While I have very fond memories of the originals' soundtracks and sound design in general, this new version once again resembles a cheap mobile game with its poor sound direction. The music does feature all the original themes, as well as some new ones, but most of them are not pleasant to listen to. It's like the melody is there, but it's muted by way too many instruments the music tries to imitate for whatever reason. The sound effects are even worse, because not only they seem very poor in terms of quality, but also do not match the 'action' on the screen. The Axe hitting a tree, or a Hammer hitting a boulder should carry some weight or impact, but here they sound more like a very soft tap. And these are mere examples of all the repetitive and simple sound effects in the game. And I swear in some cases there is some kind of background noise that hasn't been removed from certain sound effects. In general, the more I play SoS:FoMT the more I miss the originals. I realize that their design and the overall aesthetic was a major part of what made those games special. This new 3D re-imagining with a new artstyle and sound direction doesn't work for me, for the most part. It's still the same game at its core, just with a new look. If you're fine with this change, then you should enjoy the game more. If you're not, then you may end up disappointed, like I did. And if you've never played the original Back to Nature and/or Friends of Mineral Town, then with no nostalgia factor I am not certain if it's worth getting into this game nowadays. There are better alternatives, with Stardew Valley being one of them. Friends of Mineral Town is pleasant and relaxing in general, but it's all fairly simple and nothing groundbreaking by today's standards.
Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is not a bad game, it is just that I played Stardew Valley first. This is my first ever Harvest Moon experience. It is cute and cozy indeed, but I think gameplay-wise it was atrocious, and maybe I'd enjoy it more if I hadn't played SV yet. And with this being said, I'm only giving SoS:FoMT a positive review out of respect for SV because I know Barone was inspired by Harvest Moon. Launching the game for the first time, I thought to myself, "it's so cute how the cows are chonky", but— oh boy — never did I imagine that those fat mammals were going to make me mald. I'm okay with a bit of body blocking, but the volume they occupy is way bigger than their models appear to be. And does it make sense when all the animals can glitch into each other, two or more bodies occupying the same space, but they still block my pathing???? All the actions are very clunky. In the mines, where stamina is so limited, it sucks so much when I miss the spot I want to dig because playing with a mouse and keyboard doesn't feel optimized (idk, I haven't tried playing with a gamepad). This may be a me problem, bc I'm impatient and I like to play at a faster pace, who knows? The resources are scarce, a few sticks, logs and rocks here and there; this alone is not much of a problem bc Gott sells them at a cheap price. BUT the real problem lies in making money: nothing felt profitable enough to be rewarding because of the limitations on the seed and animal prices, stamina, cooking, mining, etc. To me, it sucks that to be able to make a good amount of money and progress, you need to save scum a lot in the mines and probably at the festivals. Well, save scumming to get the level 6 tools was worth it because they made farming infinitely easier and less time consuming! The game didn't teach anything. Who's sending me "Van's favorite" when I don't even know who or where's Van? How am I supposed to know that I need (not "can") give offerings to a named goddess by tossing items in a certain body of water?
