About
Stoplights is all about management, planning and efficiency. Your goal is to establish cities near resources, connect them together with rails and manage automatic train routes by placing traffic lights.
The needs of a city grow with time, so expect your rail network to be stress tested in an increasingly complex network of intermingling trains.
Inefficient routes, misplaced signals or lots of time spent waiting at a junction will be the difference between success and failure.
Build cities, rails, and train signals
Manage traffic by dividing long rails into shorter segments via signals
Indirectly control automatic train routes, which seek out nearest viable and unobstructed resources in connected cities
Win by reaching the last day without any city running out of demanded resources
Play at your own pace - pause or fast forward the simulation at will
Includes tutorial videos to help grasp the game mechanics
Features a selection of hand crafted maps, with semi-random resource placements each time
Map scenarios are hand-crafted with pseudo-random outcomes to ensure fairness and balance, but also repeatability
12 difficulty settings to play around with, which influence score multiplier and replay value
Language-independent game, meaning there is virtually no text during gameplay (except for a few settings)
Difficulty-influenced leaderboards
Trains can collide with each other

Fun! Slight learning curve, on account of not having labels on anything, The video tutorials are a nice solution to language barriers. Very pleasing colour palette, the sound effects are mellow, too. Overall it's like a chilled out version of ye olde Transport Tycoon.
If you're dumber than me, or of the same intelligence, don't get this game. It's infuriating that there are no text instructions to explain how the two kinds of signs work. Perhaps trial-and-error is good for some things, but this game is too complex for that kind of learning. Funny thing: A lot of the options I would like to have seen in this game are actually IN the game. One just needs to dink around with the UI long enough to find the "opciomenuo" (I'm using the Esperanto words because the English word for it isn't anywhere to be seen in the game) and then figure out the "viglaj ekzemploj". I keep playing the game, so I might grow to recommend it. If only there were written instructions on how to change my star-rating of this game. Please change the cost of removing track and signals. Since the game can "zip" to an actionable area right when you're about to click down a track or signal, it's mean to charge 20% to remove items. An alternative would be to allow more or infinite money. Compounding this annoyance are the areas that can't be built upon. They're not visible using any of the available overlays, but you can sure make a path into an area that's a dead-end. You lose money on this. And sometimes, your first connection requires a very very long route. Or your second connection does, and a direction that's the worst possible for optimizing track. Money is tight, time is tight, and explanations are about as good as how my dad would explain stuff. If I couldn't grasp it, it was a sign that I was dumb because he sure knew it! Also, the game moves fast, even on the first level. By the time you've just about figured out how to set up signals for one delivery item, another city pops up a request for more and different items. This happens too quickly at the beginning, and makes a first-level pathing problem into an expidentially harder problem (that's how President Biden pronounces the word). I enjoy the game, but the views of the signals are obstructed from many angles and frequently by trees. This makes deducing what happens with signals more difficult. Perhaps a "no foliage" toggle would help. When a city runs dry of its needed item, the game ends. There is no chance to go back and fix the problem. There is little way to even test theories, since the only time the trains run is when the clock is ticking and deliveries must be made. If the dev ever decides to add text instructions, I will reconsider my rating, but for now, this is an exercise in frustration rather than the fun puzzle that it should be.
Surprisingly addictive train game if you like tinkering with logistics. Very replayable when you try to fight for the highscore.
this is a veary frustrating game due to the limitations you are forced to play with when it comes to the signaling for example a classic y intersection with 3 separate blocks is imposable and ends up as just 1 solid block that can only hold 1 train even if the other 2 rails are free and clear there is also no advanced signaling to allow trains to use any free tracks if theres more then 1 path threw a block which makes roundabouts useless as the exits will get blocked under heavy loads aswell as almost every other kind of intersection suffers greatly from this also trains will at random ignore signals and cause crashes with other trains ive noticed this the most at max game speed so likely a bug? in any event i cant recommend this game in its current state if the devs ever fix the above issues then maybe
I purchased this for about £6 and after 10 hours ive just "completed" the 5 levels that exist currently, but I have not yet dipped my toes into the various modifiers you can apply to change the difficulty. If you wanna micromanage a train network then this is a good quick game for you, I feel that the only "positive" review score (at time of writing) is due to the lack of direct tutorials, instead the game uses minimalist videos and it can be a little hard to wrap your head around initially. I didnt find this to be an issue personally, and the Dev has put up a post asking for input on how to stop that issue.
If you loved Mini Metro or Mini Motorways, you're gonna love this one. Simple rules but very replayable and enjoyable gameplay. 10/10 If you're getting into this game, you have to be ready for a slightly cryptic tutorial, but there is not much to figure out overall. I can recommend trying out the demo if you're not sure if the game is going to be for you! Huge thanks to the dev for bringing this gem into the world!
I'm really enjoying this game! I found out about this from watching about half of this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceyzpcVEMMQ) and that reduced frustration from the initial learning curve. The track building UI is great; the signals and routing are interesting without being complex. Each new city demand presents an interesting puzzle, and balancing lower costs (reusing track) with higher congestion (you might miss a delivery, which ends the run) provides interesting choices in an intuitive way. Runs are short (about 20-30 mins?), but the networks end up being fairly complex, especially if you update the game length to the max.
This is a great little strategy game that is easy to pick up and fun to master. It doesn't require a lot of time to complete so I can get through multiple sessions in a sitting.
Good game, Nice visuals, Sounds are okay, There is some confusion in controls and goals when starting the game, but once u figure out it u can get a lot of fun out of it. Considering the price (at least in my region) it definitely worse it to kill some time.
Fajna, spokojna gra. Jak ktoś grał w Factorio i lubił pociągi to ta gra mu się spodoba. Cena też uczciwa. Polecam
