Short edit: I've been working through the hex puzzles with much less friction. I almost feel like the game should recommend starting with the hex puzzles first. They have way more potential connections than the square puzzles do, and though this might be more intimidating for new players, I've very rarely needed to tear down my entire solution on hexes. Original review: I'm reluctant to give a negative review, because this game can be fun, but it REALLY needs an RNG safety net. I'm sorry, but not getting a choice of any wires 7 (SEVEN!) times in a row when you're 2/3 the way through a level is not fun. The situation just becomes literally unwinnable, forcing you to start over. Which wouldn't be so bad... if the RNG didn't also often force you to clear everything and try to re-optimize halfway through a level. This is something you also often have to do at the very end, if you're going for three stars. Rewiring literally everything does not take a trivial amount of time. I appreciate what 'turns' was trying to do (choosing/planning resources and reducing analysis paralysis). But honestly, if I had the option to play on "Packed Mode" from the get-go (instead of it only being available after you clear a level), I think I would use it 100% of the time. I don't know, maybe being able to see the next 1 or 2 or even more choices ahead of time could help you decide what resources to take per turn? The "rare" resources also feel kind of weird. The levels seem designed to expect you get at least a few of them. (Example: you can get more Generators from them, which can often let you survive additional turns while you wait to roll into more resources to "properly" supply houses.) But it's entirely possible to just ... not ever roll into them. If that happens, and you get unlucky and get offered literally zero wires over seven turns... there goes half an hour of your time to an unwinnable situation. This isn't a problem that happens often. But when it does... it makes you want to write a negative review.
I love creating pipe-mares, and cooking enough spaghetti to make an Italian blush. Teaches quintessential skills for Factorio players.
Sadly, this isn't a true puzzle game in the pure sense, even though it looks like one at first blush. The level maps are the same each time, but the locations of all of the houses are all randomly chosen each time. That means that you aren't "solving" a puzzle so much as you are rerolling the level until you can get a puzzle that is solvable to the extent you want. This makes the game a lot more like Solitaire - complete with the frustration of getting it almost solved, only to lose near the end.

fun little puzzle game, give it a go
Unique concept, simple and fun until you hit the lategame puzzle, which will take hours of rerouting and make your brain explode. 10/10
fun puzzle game
Great puzzle game to and pretty calming.
Can't Live Without Electricity is a great little puzzle game. Devilish in it's simplicity, and a great sound track as well.
