Alright so while the concept for this game and the story are both fine, the more technical aspects are seriously lacking. I've completely lost track of the number of grammar mistakes and missing words. Some of the sentences and lines of dialog in this game are confusing bordering on completely illegible. It reminds me of being 15 and struggling through a fanfic on AO3, clearly written by someone who probably hadn't even graduated elementary school yet. If this game were free or at least cheap I wouldn't even bother complaining, but this cost me almost $15! Do you know how many better Otome games you could buy with that much money??? I've played completely free Otome games with more polish than this. I honestly can't recommend this game to anyone. Nothing this expensive has any right being this amateurish.
You're a journalist covering one of the hottest stories of the year, the group Stellifier is making a comeback. Older, hotter and still got the grooves. It also helps that they are all single. 🎵
The Story
You're a journalist with Farbright Magazine chasing after the biggest and hottest story of the year, the group Stellifier is making a comeback and you get to record their journey. You can play as a female, male or non-binary MC and three potential romances include; Frey (He/Him) - “A teacher who would not hesitate to put you in detention” - Frey is very intense and hard to read but also has a possessive streak. Hawkins (He/Him) - “A rebel with no morals but a whole lot of passion to give” - He is the flirt of the group, a big sexy flirt. (Not complaining). He starts sweet-talking you the moment you meet him. Mikael (They/Them) - “The kind of angel who does not mind playing devil’s advocate” - Really the one who comes across as kind, sensitive and always trying to reel Hawkins back from overdoing it. 🌶️ Spice Level - medium. All the spice is in the dialogue for the most part with a topless photo here and there but nothing lewd or graphic.
Settings, Features & Gameplay
Settings & features include; audio controls, text options, screen ratio, resolution, and fullscreen or windowed. You can skip text, hide the hud and there is an in-game log but no rewind option. The gameplay loop takes place over 5 days and then resets to day 1. Each play-through allows you to pursue a different member and do events you have not yet unlocked.
Collectables and Planning your Schedule
✨ Collectibles are the highlight of this game and there are many cool things to get. Besides a lot of cg’s and the endings there are backgrounds you can unlock and expressions for each member. You can also change their clothes! From an on-stage look to casual. You also receive, from time to time, personal messages you can listen to from each member and they are voice acted (and very well done). Gameplay does have an interesting twist where you progress the story by planning your schedule. Pick who you want to spend time with and what you're going to do (interviews, tours etc). Some events can only be scheduled at night and some during the day. You can see your romantic progress with each member and there is a neutral and good ending for each one. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3439047205 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3438985249 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3439055846
The Visuals & Audio
The music is a blend of electronic and pop. It is okay, it starts to sound very one-note however after a while. There are no ambient sounds that I could detect (noises to make the environment seem more alive). There is voice acting (very well done) for the personal messages you get from the members. Visually the main characters look great, all handsome and unique looking. The rockstar looks with some being the bad boys and one being the angel. They do have facial animations but their poses are pretty static for the most part. The art however really shines in the many beautiful cg’s you can collect, I just wish they were all art of the characters and not the backgrounds (which are meh for the most part).
Overall Experience
I really ended up enjoying this game. I am still trying to get all the goodies unlocked but have gotten all the good/romantic endings with each member. The collectables with all the gorgeous cg’s to get, the backgrounds and expressions to unlock is such a fun and different element to an otome. I also really like how you can choose what they wear. I do think it would have been cool to unlock different outfits for them too. As the main character what I appreciated is in your responses you can choose to be level headed and business like or be a flirt. And I do mean you can really flirt and be bold, and some of the responses were golden. The fun writing, the flirty moments mixed with some heartfelt ones and the collectibles all come together to make this a fun time. 💖

This game was purchased by me for my personal library. On occasion I share my experiences with the groups I write for to help bring attention to games I’ve personally purchased and wish to give more exposure too. In Stellifier, you interview a group of older idols coming back to the music scene. You spend time with each of the members, all of whom have all taken quite a liking to you. The writing is the best I’ve seen from Nochi so far. The game dives into the turmoils of the idol industry. It touches upon corporate greed, messy intertwined relationship drama, struggling to stay true to yourself when constantly putting up a public persona, and dangerously overworking yourself to the point of exhaustion, all because you need to prove that you’re worth something. I resonated with the personal struggles of each of the members as well. From Frey feeling torn apart between all of his passions, to Hawkins masking his guilt and insecurities behind a cheerful exterior, to Mikael constantly self-sacrificing for the sake of others. All three of them struggle to balance what they truly want, while being deathly afraid to disappoint their friends and fans. And through their romantic routes, you can give them the courage they need to take that first step towards the future. And they’ll shower you with all of their love in return. Also I absolutely adore the bond between Frey, Hawkins and Mikael. They feel like a real group of friends, who truly love and support each other. They aren’t afraid to tease each other, while also encouraging and pushing each other to embrace their genuine selves. It’s very heartwarming to see, especially in a cutthroat industry that prioritizes putting yourself first. This game is such a gem, I can’t recommend it enough. And I really appreciate that you can select your own pronouns!! I had a great time playing and I absolutely support giving the demo a try ♡♡ (also I posted a guide in the community tab that helps with routes and endings!)
I always feel bad giving a less than positive review, but I feel like this game didn't live up to what I expected. Some positives, I loved the feature where you can pick and choose what to do with your schedule and the designs were gorgeous! However, I had some glitches with the faces moving from the heads of the characters, the choices didn't really feel very personal and the story was a little boring. I felt like I kinda got thrown into a certain route and would have liked a little more interactions.
after far too many attempts at getting Frey's good ending, and no auto (and a poor skip option). this game was.... so not worth it for me... XD guess idols just aren't my style.
SO MUCH FLIRTING. HOT IDOLS. WITTY BANTER. What more can u ask for in an otome. I fell in love with this like 5 minutes into the demo, bought the game, and sunk my hours in. It has criminally little reviews, so I dusted off the keyboard to give this a YOU NEED TO PLAY THIS. You play as a badass journalist who knows how to talk (and flirt) back to seasoned idols who *will* give their all to romance you. The main character is very well written, and I really enjoyed her/his/their ability to match where the guys are. If you're into idols, this is a very fun simulation of their world. The fact that you can play as any gender, as well as having a non-binary idol was a huge plus for me. If you enjoy cheeky idols that have interesting backgrounds, but also very quick gameplay, this is it! Since it's short (happens over the course of one prologue, 5 days, and an ending), I would recommend playing it through once with your own choices and then follow a guide. You can choose which events you want to attend (so it's not a linear otome) and unlock snapshots & CGs & voice memos in between days. It was very nice to get to "schedule my day" so that multiple playthroughs felt fresh, but also connected. That said, it might not be everybody's speed, so check out the demo, get to know the boys, and then dive into the wonderful world of Stellifer!!
i love the witty banter between MC and the Idols, puts a smile on my face i love all the flirting and the fact that they're OLDER HOT MALE IDOLS, makes me get butterflies oh right, the VA's for this game makes me fold and have nosebleeds (ꈍᴗꈍ)♡ thank you
I've always been a big fan of Studio Nochi games, so imagine to my great surprise when their next game was with idols! I know that Somnium Eleven kind of touched on themes of publicity, press, etc. but this game really incorporated it. Currently I'm playing Hawkins' route but I'm saving my favorite for last (Frey). The writing is still as witty as ever and the art as amazing as ever. I can't wait to finish the rest :) FULL REVIEW: https://gameblubbs.wordpress.com/2024/11/21/stellifier-review/
Stellifier is easily one of my favorite Nochi Studios games out of the ones I currently own and I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a fun and engaging otome game! The three main characters being second chance idols make it a unique story to play through, and I think that adds to its charm! There isn't a single character that I genuinely dislike and I think they were all done quite well! Hawkins is my personal favorite, but I'm definitely biased when it comes to that. The voice message feature definitely adds more depth to the characters and it is one of my favorite features! The voice actors did an amazing job with portraying each character and each voice suits them so well. All in all, Stellifier is hands down a game I would recommend adding to your collection!
ITS CUTEEE the LIs are pretty standard and mc gets quite a few choices per day that actually impact gameplay :D kinda short but sweet!
