Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Sep 12 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
My first Steam World game. And I feel like I have been missing out. I'm not sure if this is the best of them but it is incredible and I am absolutely going to keep playing it. I cannot stand having a bot go down on a mission. Minus a star? Not on my watch. Time to try again.

I don't think there's quite anything like the fun and original gameplay the SteamWorld Heist games have. If like me you loved the first one, then you'll also love this one. If this is your first time, then I also think you'll enjoy this game, even if some of those more emotional moments of the story might be lost on you. Did I think the new added gameplay of moving around and fighting with your ship/submarine, action style, was what the first game was missing? Not, definitely not. I already felt it was strange that we were not in space anymore, since I love that about the first game. But the rest of the game, the real game, the tactical turn based missions, more than made up for it. There's more weapons, more crazy abilities, more fantastic music, more hats(!!!)... Yes, I loved SteamWorld Heist 2 and I highly recommend this game.
Water hides new loot Bullets bounce through sunken ships Steam sails on the tide
SteamWorld Heist 2 is a sequel that maintains the spirit of its predecessor while keeping things interesting with several new mechanics. As with the first game, there's a great variety of playable characters, items, enemies, and procedurally generated levels to enjoy. I have no complaints in this department and was genuinely having a blast the whole way through. I recommend watching the gameplay deep-dive trailer on the Steam store page if you haven't already, but I'll summarise the two biggest additions and give my opinions. Firstly, players now pilot a ship around the waters of an interactive world map, rather than just navigating a web of missions. The real-time naval components quite nicely break up the methodical turn-based combat of missions. Naval exploration is frequently rewarded with loot spread around the map. Players are also encouraged with loot to face dangerous gauntlets and powerful enemy ships. The second big addition is that every playable character now has access to every class. Crewmates can use abilities across various classes through a refundable resource called cogs. This allows for in-depth character builds that weren't possible in the first game. Each crewmate also has two unique abilities, which adds further build complexity and prevents them from feeling samey. Music in the SteamWorld franchise has always been solid, but this game bumped it up a notch. The tunes would get stuck in my head, and I would end up unconsciously singing lines while preparing my crewmates for a mission. The music also helps communicate the themes of the game's narrative, which I think was done well for the most part. I loved the way the Kraken and Krakenbane were built up throughout the game as almost mythical entities, and they served the story well. I never became attached to one of the other central characters (which I will not name to avoid spoilers), but this might just be because they did not get as much time to receive character development. I'm largely pleased with the art direction and sound design, though I'm specifically a bit disappointed with the UI components. The first Heist game had very juicy tactile interactions with the UI that utilised incredible sound effects and visuals that truly stood out. The UI components in this game aren't bad, but they just feel like a step back from Heist 1 both on a visual and audio level. The good news is that this is my biggest complaint, and I got over it pretty quickly. SteamWorld Heist 2 is a sequel that evolved the mechanics of an already mechanically elite game. If you like turn-based strategies, you should buy SteamWorld Heist 1, and you most definitely should buy SteamWorld Heist 2. 9.5/10
Such a great game!!
