Almost better than part 1.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Metroid Diggy Diggy Hole.
this is one of the best games I have ever played much better than the first one
SteamWorld Dig 2 is way better than the original in almost every way. Its still a short and linear diet metroidvania but the map progression is slightly more varied compared to the first game; rather than only going straight down, you can go to left and right parts of the map. The gameplay loop was mostly the same except Dot's moveset was way more fun to use compared to Rusty's moveset; the grappling hook opened a lot of movement options in the game and was super fun to use. I really liked the cog skills since it provided a lot of freedom with how you wanted to play the game. The game's final challenge cave was also super fun to play through and really does test your platforming and reflexes. Disappointingly, the characters were still just as boring as the first but the story was at least a bit more interesting, although the plot twist was very predictable. *Spoiler ig*
I was totally shocked when I got back to Vectron and was greeted by a horror chase sequence that forces you to put your platforming and reflexes to the test. Props to the devs for putting something like that because I wasn't prepared for it at all.
Overall, 7/10. Better than the prequel and is a game that's worth your time. I'd still recommend you get this when it goes on sale.
Just a fun lil guy, expands on everything the first game got right. Not a long play through but a fun one for sure

SteamWorld Dig 2 is the perfect sequel that doesn't get the respect it truly deserves. You'll find wandering yourself through dark, but comfy locations - digging and looking for raw materials and artefacts. Everyone that is looking for a excellent 2D platformer, that is easy to get into but also rewards players with trained skills should give SWD2 at least a try - it deserves your attention, especially since it comes from the indie landscapes, but it's characters and landscapes are truly lovable and memorable. <3
Good relaxing game.
