Alright, I've played and liked a bunch of Early Access games in my day. However, this is the most unfinished one I've ever laid eyes on. First, you get given very vague instructions, there is no map, there is no objective indicator and the enemies can literally sneak up on you with no sound or even effect noise for their attack. I just happened to look at my health at one point and realized something was trying to eat my face. The enemies can't be looted, and the initial map (crash site) is huge, but since you don't know where and what you're supposed to be collecting/doing, you just sorta run in circles hoping you get the right item by accidentally running over it. I think the premise is nice, I think the game will MAYBE one day be playable and worth it. But as of now, I'm feeling super cheated as it's the bare skeleton of a game and not anywhere close to what they think it will become. I'll keep hoping that I see it's updated in my steam window in the future and give it another try, but for now, it's just going to haunt my harddrive as the little game that maybe could one day be worth playing.
Not a complete game. At all. There's no guide, it's too dark in the beginning. Buildings disappear, you can't tell if you're inside or outside sometimes. It is rife with bugs, aliens that you kill, getting 'stuck' on you and continuing to do damage. The UI is clunky and inelegant. I spent over an hour trying to find food. The second objective the "tutorial" gave me. There's no maps, there's no compass, no way to tell where you are...and you can't see anything. It's a 3rd person game with all of the horrible weaknesses of field of view of a first person game. And dark. Did I mention dark? There's not even a setting to crank the brightness so you can see. It sounds like it has a lot of potential, but releasing this game for $10 on Steam was irresponsible and borderline unethical. It is in alpha, at the best. Maybe even pre-Alpha development.
Another vastly unfinished game.. Title says starwalker but it's much like an Action RPG type of explore and dungeon crawling. The combat system and character development system remind me of the DND3 and Vampire of the masqurade... It uses unity engine and have okish graphic for indie... Personally so far the project doesn't seems that bad but avaible region for player to test is limited. The short length of the beta test zone generated a lot of negative reviews... However this project does seem very hopeful. The only question is can the developer excute it well? VTMB came out 15 years ago and developer lost tones of money making it only after heavy moding over all those years to complete the game and now it's very popular buy in steam store. Will a small developer able to excute this type of complex programing and money to support it? I guess we will find out... For now.. I give it 5/10.. as to wait and see.. current mode and avaible space i don't recommend anyone other then dedicated beta tester to get the game as regular gamer will give it negative review for sure.
edit: I've been informed I need to put this disclaimer before reviewing. Aposogies for not doing this sooner. I hope you can forgive me and haven't lost trust in us.
1) I have been asked to make a review by the developer a few months ago. I was helping and was in talks with him about helping out but we lost touch and I think he removed me from steam as we haven't talked in awhile. 2) I made this review after playing 0.7 hrs but stopped because there really wasn't anything to do in the game, sure you had a flash light but there were certain areas that you'd go through the walls and just terrible collision detection. I don't blame the dev as much as I blame the way UNITY is coded. I hope this makes up for the conflict of interest. I think that's it. Anyways, I'm sorry.
Given how hard it is to make games now adays, the work being done on this game is ongoing. Some of you might be thinking that development on this game is dead. However, development on this game is ongoing. There's a lot of bugs to fix, but we are confident we can fix them. This game has potential.
Starwalker is a game that I can't recommend because: - the price is too much for it's quality - it is boring - the controls are absolutely terrible - it has bugs - it has no guide - it has no map - it has no objective indicator - the enemies attack makes no sound - the only good reason to install this game is for the trading cards

nice of the devs to give up
It is a shame, that there are so many games on steam, where the devs just stopped working on it. It is also a shame, that many people paid for a game, that stays unfinished forever. The biggest shame is, that noone really does anything about that kind of fraud. Now a review for this unfinished piece: This game does look and feel like in PRE-Alpha state. If you use another resolution, than the one set on default, you will experience problems in the controls. The mouse does not recognize the menues and you will be forced to aim far over a menu button, just to click it. The physics are garbage. You can jump over a human without running, but the running itself feels like you are in a normal atmosphere. The intro is quite boring, so there was no real desire to go on with the game. No tutorial, no explaination about the controls. Nothing. To be clear here: DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! It is far from finished and there are nearly no news from the devs at all. Last statement was: Rafael left us....wait a second....ain't Rafael the Developer and Publisher? Who is even sitting on this game?
I like this game except for at night it looks to much like a horror game. would totally recomend :D
Stay away from this broken mess of a game Im not sure how i ended up with it but I thought I'd give it a go. Wouldnt get past the splash screen after multiple tries, you have to use task manager to get out of the broken mess. And after asking the devs for help and telling them the issues my response is.."did you hit the enter key lol" I wasnt lol'ing..this game is not fit to even try to play yet So my next professional support post told me I was passive agressive and a 12 yr old who was pissed because I have a bad pc...I deleted the whole post and will be throwing this into the virtual trash where it belongs..these guys are clowns..
