START AGAIN: a prologue

this game is an AMAZING prequel to isat, but i think it's best played after isat, and specifically after its secret ending scene - the story feels like it's definitely more impactful if you've played through isat first, and as [spoiler] the siffrin in this game is heavily implied to be loop prior to becoming *loop* [/spoiler], it's MUCH better to play it second. knowing the context of the secret isat ending AND then seeing this for additional context feels MUCH more painful and beautiful imo!!!! i'll easily say the fighting system of this game is worse than isat - it feels less unique and more clunky - however, if you go into this game focusing on the story and not expecting much of the battles, then you won't be disappointed!! <333 i'd say this is 100% worth it for the story - HOWEVER, not at full price. it takes 3.5-5hrs to beat, and for a game half the price of isat (which took me 36hrs my first time - frankly i feel isat should be priced higher lol, but i'm not complaining!), this isn't a fair enough deal imo. buy it on sale, definitely, or watch a playthrough instead, but i can't recommend it at full price. sorry!! anyways. salivating over these games. yes. yes. A sort of demo/prototype to In Stars And Time. Its not really a prologue, as the game starts in a theoretical point of the game where "several years have passed", that as far as I know, never happens in the actual game. Basically its just one floor of the mid to late game, with a few changes to the plot and gameplay. Well, when you finish the actual game, you can guess a small connection between this and the main game, relating to a certain character, but nothing that is confirmed as everything is only implied.. I bought this for very cheap because I had In Stars And Time, but I guess there is no point on getting it. Its very short (1.5 hours) and seems to just give a preview of the game and characters. It would benefit being a free demo rather than a paid one, since it costs about half of the full game, yet doesn't has 10% the length. Other than that, its an interesting RPG Maker game.

A short prologue for one of the msot well writen games ever. This beta version serves as both presentation of the original concept, as well as a tie-in for the story at large. Many elements from this beta are reused or mentioned in the full release, and some information is crutial to finding a new perspective to the events of In Stars and Time. It is a wonderful experience through and through, though it can be a bit sluggish, as all the quality of life deatures(speeding things up) is only accesible in the main game, and not this beta.

While I really enjoyed the game I dont think I can recommend it, it was only about 2 and a half hours worth of stuff and it cost $10.99 USD. I would recommend In stars and time first and if you REALLY like that game then I would say check this game out

Really fun prologue to In Stars And Time. I would recommend playing after the main game, as it provides some more background that has the most emotional impact if you know the characters already. The gameplay should be familiar if you've played the main game, but is otherwise not hard to get into. Start Again isn't that long, but it drops you into the story right away and has a lot of unique dialogue and events. It's a bittersweet story that's definitely worth experiencing.

This game is so good, I wish mental illness was real.

I shouldn't have bought this demo, which requires to PAY FOR IT. Are you serious? This is not even a slice of the game, just a 1 - 2 hour slow gameplay with no purpose.
