Starscape

Оооочень давно в нее играл, еще устанавливая ее с диска и в русской локализации, сильно не хватает озвучки, но остается довольствоваться тем что есть. Игра которую я люблю, любил и буду любить.

My dad got a physical copy of this game back in the early 2000s when it was relatively new (I don't remember the specific year, I was very young). I tried it out a few times over the years, but never got very far. Regardless, I still find myself coming back to this game from time to time when I'm feeling nostalgic... Even bought the Steam version too! Starscape is great fun, even though I personally kinda suck at it. It's an older game for sure, but I've yet to see anything [i]quite[/i] like it, and despite its age, it still works fine on my Windows 10 PC. Would definitely recommend. If you're on the fence, there's a free demo so you can decide for yourself whether or not you like it enough to buy it. Also, please learn from my mistakes and remember to save! The game ain't gonna do it for you.

one of the best little known titles I’ve run across

Starscape was one of the first games I had on PC way back in the day. It provided me hours upon hours of entertainment along with BG1, Traffic Department 2192, Doom, Wolfenstein, and a handful of other DOS games. I'm so happy it's on Steam.

That's the game of my childhood still works well on modern PCs. It was distributed as shareware on the magazines' CDs. Plays well on modern PCs even if graphics are outdated already.

Once in a while I come back to this classic. It's such a wonderful game.

It is a challenging game but keeps you wanting more with many upgrades to your ship. you can also make more ships and mine minerals which is just plain fun!

Nice space shooter where you can mine asteroids and loot enemy space ships to upgrade your own ship and mothership with different upgrades and weapons. Space pirates and zombies is a very similar game to this, that probably took inspiration from this. Take notice there's some really bad design choices in this: . Movement is super clunky and you can't strafe, you can't use mouse either . Bosses are hard and unfair, they will not only kill you in 2-3 they will also swarm you with small enemies and when you thought the fight is done, they will send in another OP small ship, be prepared to try several times until you can make it . You can't skip conversations and you always have them before bosses . There's no ultrawide support and view range is very limited . You need to restore your ship and mothership all the time, and you can't even do it from subspace, you need to enter a node . Menus overall are super clunky and badly organized . worst shield design I've seen in a game, the shield occupies a huge area around the ship and any hits that go above it's damage absorption will take your hp directly instead of the projectiles having to hit the ship at all Overal 10/10 game idea, 4/10 implementation The world needs more games with this type of concept with better gameplay.

I love this game.

Thou tedious at times, it's still fun to play
