About

An entire universe awaits you in Stars Reach. In this science-fantasy MMORPG, you'll visit strange, new worlds, become an explorer, and build a life on planets that react to everything you do. Your choices will change your world. And, you'll do it with every other player on a single server. Leave your mark on the galaxy!
Each world responds to your actions. A deep, reactive simulation allows water to flow naturally, forests to burn, and lava to harden into new materials and land masses. From lush forests to winding rivers to perilous mountains, every planet has its own ecosystems, resources, and challenges. Your decisions determine what resources are available to you, how wildlife reacts, and ultimately which settlements prosper.
Planets are living systems. Your decisions determine what resources are available to you. Climate changes, creatures migrate, disasters strike, and the world reacts in ways you can’t fully control.
Travel through wormholes to discover new worlds, explore, build, survive, and thrive. Every planet begins untouched. What it becomes is up to you.
Master one of dozens of skill paths, and live the galactic life you’ve always dreamed. Whether you want to protect settlers as a ranger, build a trade empire, or offer your services as an architect, Stars Reach offers many skill paths that allow you to chart a course through space that fits your play style. There are different weapons to master. There’s a career path just for you in Stars Reach.
You’re not locked into any single playstyle. Experiment with different skill paths and find the combination that suits you best. Build your own class from different skill sets and define your role in the galaxy.
Your first steps onto a new world take you far beyond the familiar. You’ll need to adapt to your surroundings by learning to survive. Every skill path has accompanying equipment, which you’ll gain proficiency with by using those tools.
More importantly, your contributions to the community will increase your proficiency. A camp you build will earn you experience when others rest at it. Community means survival, and we’ve built Stars Reach to support pro-social behavior and limit the ability for other players to ruin your experience through griefing.
You can build a cozy cottage on a remote hill, and carve out a living by yourself. But if you crave community, team up to build settlements and cities, shape how they grow, and decide how they are governed.
Team up and claim a large plot of land that isn’t just a home base. You and your friends can cluster your homesteads, build a community, and govern together.
The resources you gather can be sold in a unified galactic economy driven by players. Or, you can use them to craft tools and technology to supply distant worlds with vital goods necessary for their survival.
Trade with players across the galaxy, specialize in what you make, and become a master of your craft and earn renown across the galaxy.
Your choices determine what comes next.
Cities grow or decline, ecosystems shift, wildlife becomes extinct, and resources are used up or recover based on what you do. Protect the environment and its inhabitants, or strip mine it for profit. Other players live with the results of what you leave behind.
This is Stars Reach! What will you become?

This game has a LOT of potential. yeah its buggy and glitchy right now but this game so far is GREAT and i can now see how people compare this to how Star Wars Galaxies initially was......
I agree to an extent that early access might have been a little premature, but only a little. That being said, the bugs I saw in the first couple days of playing have already been corrected and their plans to fix things before the weekend are issues I noticed in game. Very diligent crew and their vision is unfolding well! It's not polished by any means, but they are paving the road very quickly with community help. I can see how this EA release was necessary to get fresh perspectives from people who were not in alpha/beta testing. If you're hesitant, then just wait a little while for a few more updates, but don't wait too long--They are working quickly to address and correct things! I have been waiting a long time for UO / SWG successors that do them justice and Stars Reach is on the way to becoming just that! I'm in love and I'm patient. I look forward to seeing the progression & growth!

after 5.5 hours of playtime, I can see the bones of this game, it has a good foundation but it just lacks really anything of substance , paying $30 for this seems like a bad buy, this feels like an alpha build. Graphics:5/10 its not a very pretty game, at all, but i do like the art direction reminds me of a CoH art style controls: 5/10 weird things like pop ups that you cant close unless you go to the inventory screen (or skill screen etc etc) , or during character creation you cant just right click and move your mouse to turn the model around to see it, have to manually push the left or right rotate button on the screen, just weird QoL type of things that feels weird to be omitted from this gameplay: now an exciting action MMo this is not, I aimed at some deer and didnt even realize my guy was shooting with the Rifle, also lots of bugs with aiming and shooting with the terrain modifier , also the game does not run very well, even with the settings at low, the thing that bothered me those most was the space station hub feels empty, feels like someone made it on a weekend as a small outpost. Crafting: now this is a hit and miss for me, lots of skills and lots of crafting except , im at a point where i have tons of ore and i got the refining skill, but now you gotta figure out what ore type you have because there are 5 or 6 different expensive skills you have to unlock to refine certain ores, its a little difficult trying to figure what type of ore you have, because there is ALOT of different ore types. and now im trying to figure out how to make a Refining station which has alluded me , but i def like how crafting can be done, to be honest this game is just too bare bones, the quests are just a quest board, where you are sent to a planet to do random things, the enemy Ai is pretty terrible , there just isnt alot to do but mine for ore and try to build a homeestead (which is crazy expensive, I just don't see this staying alive in the state its in even for an early access game, its just so baron
It's like spiderman... but with alot of holes....
It is on a unique path and heading to the what I want in a new and unique MMO. These devs will get there )or I will be mildly bummed, at least they are trying)
I'm a significant backer and received my key via their dashboard. I played a bit of pre-alpha but didn't really want to put time into it with wipes inbound. $30 is definitely a "we know we're not there yet but we need a little help" price point. I would say this game is certainly worth $15-$30 of your time at this point and would only suggest putting more into it if you really appreciate their vision. It's a little buggy, but it's early access, and it's still worth checking out because of the folks behind it. With that said, if you're of the mind to let it cook for a year, I support that, and do that for most other games. I was just particularly excited for this one so I gave it a shot, but if EA drags on a little too long, I'm going to cut my losses. Your first hour is going to be in Haven doing the tutorial type quests to go through the mechanics. The world was better looking than I expected, they recently added some missing SFX, and have already dropped more patches since launch. When you get to the Space Station, you start to realize there is still more to be done, but you can start exploring different planets and doing randomly generated missions. But, by hour two or three, you will have already seen the initially available mechanics, and that's fine for a game in this state. It's fun for where it's at. It needs time to cook. Let's hope they can do it. I'll update it but use this first month to really gauge whether or not it's worth your time and money. I waited a bit on Farever and it paid off. Hopefully it pays off here, too. But boy oh boy do I hate EA.
So I played in the playtests before and it seems like the same issue I had before is still there. THIS GAME IS SO CONFUSING! Simple things like obtaining recipes, skills, XP in certain skills are way too complicated! Example: it seems you cannot even cook a basic skewer which I have the recipe for. Apparently I need a skill to cook that. you cannot get said skill without getting XP and points in cooking which you cannot achieve without cooking anything!!! Also, this game is really not even ready for EA. It plays like an Alpha test. I cannot recommend this game at all till they make it a lot less convoluted and confusing to do basic tasks in game. I have never been more frustrated in a survival game before!
Great sandbox game, needs work of course. Starter zones have bad performace, but it gets better once you set out into the world.
This has been in development for how long? There are games on here that have solo developers who have made more complete games in half the time. This is just bad and pathetic. Even something SUPER basic like movement looks like a crappy Roblox game. No hopes at all for this game. If this is all they have done in the time they have had, it isnt going to be good.
This game has a lot of potential.
