Всем привет, сегодня обзор на игру Stardiver. Игра в подводном мире. Думал что то годное типа Subnautica. Но это оказалось шляпой полной, управление просто кошмарное, мир глухой, куча багов. Не рекомендую. Super klimat, mega oprawa muzyczna, świetne sterowanie. Potrafi bardzo wciągnąć!
This is a tough choice. Got through the tutorial, did some mining, some scanning, and some fighting. The controls take a bit to get accustomed to, but doable. The visuals are decent for what it is. The pace is slow, but methodical. The games "AI Buddy" does a lot of hand holding, but I suppose its tolerable. The area you play in doesn't feel very big at the start as you are never far from the base it would seem. At the US$15, I would suppose you do get your money's worth in the game.
Ну такое... Очень не удобное управление. Курс молодого бойца сильно растянут. Боёвка не какая.
Хорошая игра, не понимаю почему столько хейта...
EDIT there has been a update today that fix some of the problem but it's still a rough game to play. https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1599070/view/4690027275838451010 What a piece of garbage. Control are horrible. Ship behaviour is unpredictable. touching a rock may send you into an infinite spins or you can get stuck on it updside down Performance is abysmal. Games struggle to stay at 60 fps with most setting at medium and framerate lock. Lag. So Far I have: Mission objective not completing Sound on a loop, after defeating a monster the sound of it and my lazer keep playing on a loop. AI repeat on a loop previous information or already completed objective. objective being triggered but nothing happening Sound of enemies or boss being activated without them being there, but later the cutscene finally starts!!?!?!? My ESC buttons is not working after the first boss. So I can't go to option or quit game or save. Music becomes so loud it covers AI voice. AI subtitles not appearing anymore. There is a lot of work needed on this, to make it a playable game.
I thought sci-fi, underseas, simulator, and got hooked. Sadly, I must report that I got instantly disenchanted by this. The way the controls worked felt really off-putting. I don't know, man. For some reason, this game basically forces you into thinking you need another reticle besides the main crosshair for pitching and yawing. And the ship only pitches or yaws once that second reticle passes the main crosshair. And don't get me even started on how bonkers it is when you do that with reversed Y-axis controls. You're basically moving a cursor in the opposite direction than you're used to, just to make the vehicle go the "right way." When moving with a gamepad, the ship responds immediately. None of this happens. So obviously, there'd be no real need for another reticle that pointed where you go to or shoot. Such as Freelancer had, if I recall correctly. However, on the gamepad you bank by pressing down the stick. So one of the most essential — and therefore most important — features in plane-like controls, something you need to perform as precisely as possible, requires you to apply pressure in a different vector, which completely kills precision. One thing after another like this... I remembered how Freelancer had something similar when it came to controlling it with mouse. But I don't remember fighting its controls back then. It was fluid, arcadey, but also simulator/RPG enough. Idk what's going on here, to be honest. It's just that I tried to troubleshoot it all for a while and got tired of it. I understand how other players might feel differently — I know I did for a long time — but I'm currently in a phase where I usually don't want to throw tonnes of patience out the window on games with poor design decisions just for the sake of finding a few gems in the rough at the bottom. Too many indies nowadays take rather unkind liberties with things that should've been straightforward from the get-go. Maybe if I'd dug out my trusty Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, it would've been okay. It's been a while since I last used it for anything. Anyway, I'm done with this. There's plenty of fish in the seas that don't try to be a convoluted sea-bird, fixing what wasn't broken in decades of standardized simulator control schemes, man. EDIT: Since I bought this under heavy sales, I don't care about a refund much. To whatever gains the devs will put my meager monetary addition :D, let them have it... I'll try this out with that Logitech for a while, and who knows, maybe I'll find the patience — or won't need it after all. 2nd EDIT: So, basically what I found out was that there were two different sets of binds for the gamepad and joystick (at least I think that's what HOTAS stand for in this game), and both are incomplete. Actually, there's like only half of the controls in ea h, the main ones not being included. Yeah, you read right. And no, they don't complement each other. Joystick seems to neither register nor bind its gamepad "counterparts" and vice versa. Moreover, the stick-twisting axis (Z), I mean the one that is supposed to bank your craft, steers it and can't be changed. The movement to the left and right isn't the classic yaw+slight bank, it's straightforward horizontal yaw. And there is no config file anywhere to be found. Nope, I AM done with this.
Got this for -90% off, but even still, i wouldn't recommend. The concept of the game: "what if Descent, but underwater & with very minimal 'base-building'" is fine; however, the game is rife with Euro-jank aspects. The world comes across as if someone made a map and scattered random "toys" (things) haphazardly around. For example, there is an odd juxtaposition of soviet-era industrial buildings and an oversized stereotypical flying saucer UFO, but then on the other side of a ridge there is also a colossal T-Rex skull. Like what are we doing here? The combat is strange because it utilized all 6 degrees-of-freedom with enemies approaching from many different vectors, but they are incredibly difficult to track since they dart around in zig-zag patterns as though the "water" is just empty space (it is). Also, your ship movements are very sluggish even with increased sensitivity, which compounds the "difficulty" of combat. While you can play the game with a controller, i wouldn't recommend that as the game often reads strafing as dodging (two repeated inputs to the same side). The biggest offender of the Euro-jank moniker is the UI. Oh, god, the UI. It resembles the one from Subnautica, but it lacks any and all of its polish. Moving items from your inventory to the base storage is very very cumbersome and can only be done one at a time. Tweaking settings and options with a controller plugged in still leaves them "functional" even though the whole pause menu is closed. I did this, closed the pause menu, and then moved the analog stick to continue playing only to have the drop-down dialog sub-box for the option i just changed to appear on screen and still usable. that's a new and fun bug. The last thing that happened, before writing this, was that i finished an objective, started "flying" back to the base, looked around and the whole game crashed. So, stability is another hallmark of the Euro-jank. Specs included & my system is more than capable of playing a game like this. While this is likely a small dev team (kudos for bringing something to market), that doesn't shield them from an honest critique of their product. Full price is way too steep & -90% off is barely "worth it." Best of luck on the next venture, i guess; perhaps something 2-Dimensional to sharpen those kind lacking UI/menu skills.
This game is giving a nice Sub Culture ( from 1997) vibe. the first hour is fun enough to be interesting
