I love this game. I played Xwing and TIE Fighter both as "new releases" ***BOOMER DETECTED*** and they really did it for me. Fast forward to now, and the games still have their original charm, since nobody bothered to make a modern SW combat sim. HOWEVER the game is JANK AS ♥♥♥♥ and will crash randomly. The keybinds will confuse you and your controller will jitter when trying to clutch a shot. You've been warned. Vice Admiral Thrawn makes his first out-of-book appearance here (Heir to the Empire series). While Legends, he's still a fantastic character.

First flight sim I ever played, so there's a fair amount of nostalgia that goes into this, but still a better Star Wars flight sim than anything they've released in recent years. I keep looking for that same high I got flying a TIE Defender against squadrons of fighters, and nothing matches up.

A nostalgia game for me, I recommend playing with invul on because its properly wicked hard at times and with a proper joystick. The CD version has the best music.

If you like Tie fighters you'll like this game. The briefing rooms alone had more tension than most modern AAA campaigns.

it's like so old ... but the "loop" remains "good" and the missing QoL stuff is offset by the relative ease of playing it on a modern PC

No look this is a fun looking game and does play good sort of too complicated for me but not bad also the music is driving me crazy because it would keep cutting in and out so no I don't recommend low quality port they didn't care but yeah the music was annoying cuz it would not play and you constantly hear static sounds the game makes your eyes for at times where it starts flashing not going to lie though maybe night dive studios can make a remaster of some of these games we can wish that would be amazing cuz so far this game plays like trash it's not trash it's just with all these technical hiccups it's almost on unplayable I recommend playing the game forsaken remastered do you want to get a similar experience but more my cup of tea I will say this the controls do feel pretty incredible but the annoying music and the buggy tankish feel sometimes is enough for me to say no I don't recommend
