𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 An incredible MMORPG that has PVP/PVE & the option to just play the entire thing solo as an amazing Single Player RPG adventure in the Star Wars universe. Every class you choose has their own unique (and quite lengthy) story line that is comprised of 3 chapters. You can have multiple characters at once and I definitely recommend the ones I have played through so far, Bounty Hunter & Clone Trooper. The missions were very much centred around decisions you make & there is an awesome morality system in the game. All of the dialogue in quests is so well done, like OG Dragon Age and other great Bioware RPG's. If you like Star Wars and haven't checked this out yet, you should. You get to visit a staggering amount of planets, find many cool weapons & outfits, there is a lot of mounts from all of the galaxy far, far away. You can play for free, although If you enjoy yourself I would reccomend subscribing for one month and cancelling the auto renewal. If you do this, you will be able to get all of your characters to a higher lvl & have access to the DLC content on all of your characters forever. Regardless of if you choose to stay subscribed or not. This is a really really good MMO & It's also a very good RPG. You should play this game in 2026. It is amazing, join the 'Star Forge' server with any new characters, it is extremely populated. Love you bye <3 May the force be with you.

Pretty weird for an MMO On the one hand its owned by a horrid publisher EA, so the store in game is pretty ugly and extensive unfortunately, yet on the other you have nearly 100 hours of free gameplay, eight classes, and small restrictions compared to say WOW modern (Not classic since you cant play free on classic unless its a community mod), /And/ you can pay 15 bucks one time to own all current content, get some bonus rewards, a mount? Where tf is this EA now? If their pricing was as good modern as it was here, people wouldn't be lining up to take shots at you for existing. Decent time-hog, pretty fun if you can get past the old graphics. I say give it a couple hours, if you enjoy it, drop five bucks to become preferred or smth.
This is my first MMO ever, and I've always been a little intimidated by these types of games. SWTOR has a lot of content available for free. and the stories for each alignment and class are definitely worth experiencing. Lots of options for roleplay, and I recommend this game to any Star Wars fans wanting to put themselves into the world. The community is very much alive and is one of the friendlier ones I've experienced. My only real complaint is that the game doesn't do a great job explaining all its systems and mechanics. Tutorials are exclusively done through pop-up blocks of text, so a lot of reading is required to understand some of the intricacies with this game. In the 73 hours I've played, I definitely feel like I'm not experiencing everything the game has to offer, mainly because I didn't pay enough attention to or remember the information in these paragraph tutorials. With all that said, I greatly enjoy the game and highly recommend it!
for whatever reason the game has locked me out of my account and when i try to sign in with steam it says i already have a linked account. I try to reset password or any of that and it doesnt send me any type of email at all. I played for a while and had a character pretty high level but i cannot even get the game to run. It simply tells me to make an account and when i do it says i already have an account. So then i try to sign in with steam like normal and it says this account is already linked and will not let me into the game. Their own system is just horribly broken. I cannot get in touch with any dev or support at all. Been a year of me waiting on some type of reply or help with absolutely no answer. Dont waste your time. When you are locked out of your account they will abandon you and all your time and money is wasted. I didnt do anything but simply reinstall the game after not having it installed for a couple years and now im here. Cant even play no matter what i do. I cant even make an ew account as it says my steam is linked and cannot proceed. Absolutely comical.
They killed Star Wars Galaxies for this.
8/10 - Solid Star Wars MMO that shines with friends Star Wars: The Old Republic is genuinely fun. The story is engaging, the classes feel distinct, and the planets and lore are packed with that classic Star Wars charm. Playing with friends makes it even better — whether you're running flashpoints, conquering planets, or just messing around, it’s way more enjoyable in a group. If you’re a fan of Star Wars or like story-heavy MMORPGs, this is a big win. The voice acting is excellent, the choices actually matter, and there’s a ton of content to dive into. That said, customer support can be pretty slow and frustrating when you actually need them, and yeah… Star Wars fatigue is real in 2026. The universe feels a bit overdone at this point. Still, I love this game. It’s not perfect, but when it clicks, it really clicks. Definitely worth trying, especially if you can play with friends
Honestly this is the greatest MMORPG i've ever played. Of course, big part of it is nostalgia from my childhood playing SWKOTOR on XBOX.. Now I've been gaming since 2002, still play OSRS, played WOW, Everquest you name it. The attention to detail, world, story line, ♥♥♥♥.. everything! Absolute 10/10. Playing it in 4k is what restored my true love for gaming. Best part? Haven't paid a dime, its free. Unbelieveable. Can't recommend enough. Don't listen to the naysayers. If you're a Star Wars fanboy, don't think twice.
This game literally doesn't work and there's nothing I can do about it. Here's my story~ I installed the game, I signed up for an account, and I verified my email. All very easy steps. I click the button that starts the game. Game won't load. I'm waiting a long time and literally nothing is happening but my computer fans are making a lot of noise. After waiting 5 minutes, I go to the task manager and end the task. I reboot my computer and try again. I click the button to start the game. Again, nothing happens. I watch a half-hour comedy special while waiting for the game to load. Nothing happens. I can't even get to a screen where I can adjust any settings to troubleshoot the problem. I have a decent PC, specs are included, so it's not like I'm trying to run this thing on a potato. So I guess I'm not playing this game. It literally doesn't work.
if you dont sub to this game you cant do ♥♥♥♥ you are sevearly limited in every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing cash levels 2nd combat style dont waste your time with this game its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the guy who thought it would be a good idea for a f2p SW game is a dumbass! like you buy a mount that you want to use on multiple characters and guess what you own it but you have to spend more cartel coins again to use it across multiple characters its like buying a car, you already own the car but the dealer wants you to buy the key now and the spare key as well what ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥ does that never mind a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ American! id rather spend more money on warframe because its Way better if you have patience to grind some ♥♥♥♥ you want at least you are able to get some good things as a f2p player of warframe not this old ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass game where you have to sub to use a 3rd crew skill and uncap your money in game 1m cedits is the limit what ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thought oh thats a good idea
