Star Trek: Infinite

No updates since 2023... wasted potential and a disappointment to all buyers.

I really wanted to like this game, after years had gone by and nothing like the old Birth of the federation i was hoping this would be a updated version, but its not. there are a few things i do like about the game but not enough to make up for the bad parts of it. Who every make this game must not have ever really watched or know much about Star Trek in my opinion. the first bad part is the limit factor on everything. to me that is what your resources are for. The lack of starships, starship classes, and captains to command them makes it very hard to do anything other then explore. The why spies work i do like and the way the diplomacy works is very nice, even the way you explore and survey worlds. the energy resource you need for everything is a bit over whelming and you end up just building worlds just to do that, which again very much limits what you can do. There is no Tech Research tree to even let you know which direction you would like to do,it pretty much guess work and luck of the draw, which sucks. I have played many games like this, like Galactic Civilization. this game needs a serious over haul or a massive DLC update. But if your someone that like playing a game with massive limits against you, be my guess and get it, to me even buying it at half off to me was more then you should pay for this game. there are pros and cons to this game and the bad part is the cons out number the pros in my opinion. So Buyer be ware.

Gioco fortemente sconsigliato. Usa il mototre di stellaris in maniera totalmente sconclusionata, gli sviluppatori hanno cercato di fare un copia incolla e devo dire uscito davvero molto male. Oltre a problemi di grafica, risoluzione, bordi etc. ha evidenti problemi nelle meccaniche di gioco che lo rendono quasi inutilizzabile, sopratutto per gli appassionati di stellaris, che son abituati a ben altro. Concludo ricordando a tutto o informando per chi non lo sapesse che il gioco è stato ufficialmente abbandonato dagli sviluppatori e lasciato nelle condizioni pietose in cui versa. Non comprate assolutamente!

Looks abandoned

It's a simplified Stellaris engine, which is fine. It has the Star Trek license, but even with the patches they put out, it still has some glaring issues with the AI, VERY limited ship types and classes (serious, the Federation doesn't get the Akira, Norway, Sabre, Steamrunner, or Nova?), and the story runs out without dealing with the Dominion, of all things. This will never be addressed, since the game is now no longer being supported or developed because of the fallout from the downfall of Embracer group. Had potential, but I can't recommend you spend more than five dollars on it.

its a complete ripoff of Stellaris and somehow is worse then the two star trek total conversion mods you can get on the workshop for Stellaris. I'm not even joking, the only thing about this game that was good.... Is the USS Antares promo code you get for Star Trek Online. thats it....

I love stellaris, and I was hoping this star trek spin off was going to be a good investment but imagine my surprise when I see that the developer did not do there homework and this is a truly half backed product that was not executed well do not waste your money as I did it is not worth it. they did not have the correct ships for the era in fact they are missing many of the ships the time line does not progress in any way that follows star trek lore at all and the map does not seem to follow star trek galaxy map. at the very least these people should have looked at the star trek online galaxy map to see how bad theirs is. Also the bajoran, story is so wrong is not funny first of all why do you have a cardasian as the envoy for Bajorans WTF. I think enough said. don't waste your money.
