Abandoned
So much potential but released too early. Thought Ok I'll give it a few months for Paradox to polish it up and release the inevitable Borg DLC. But no, as is the style of the time, Paradox pushed the game out too early in a state that wasn't complete or fun and then cancelled any future support when the initial sales didn't match their unrealistic expectations. So much potential, wasted. Eurogamer did an excellent review full of Trek references, I wish I'd listened to it. Go look it up.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A must for all Star Trek Birth of the Federation fans
I have totally enjoyed this game, and as a Star Trek fan was hopeful that this would be the INFINITE Star Trek game Unfortunately, it is way too linear your locked into repeating the same events over and over again, I again hoped with updates and DLC this would be expanded BUT NO! Paradox pulled the rug right out from this game, if its on sale for £5 pick it up but dont bother otherwise!
So...I put some time into learning this game. Finally got to the combat phase. REALLY DISAPPOINTING. The ships fly around each other like an angry swarm of wasps trying to sting each other. There are no tactics, no formations, no dedicated battle cut scene or any thing like there was in Birth of The Federation. Just who ever has the bigger better swarm wins. REALLY...developers...REALLY...?!?!?!? Time and MONEY wasted. Not recommending this title.
Are we waiting for 30 dlc for the game to be nice and playlable ?
Stellaris is a difficult game to pay attention to. This is the Star Trek version of Stellaris. This is only more interesting because there are Star Trek ships involved. The most rewarding aspect is the hero ship missions you can partake in to acquire the enterprise and upgrade it. You might get stuck trying to upgrade the enterprise if you don't leave any anomalies for it to investigate. Sometimes, you can find these anomalies in conquered territories that you won't be able to survey until you eliminate the enemy presence.
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME I understand the Nimble Giant & Embracer drama, but at the end of the day we have a game that was never completed, left abandoned and will likely never receive the slightest bit of bug fixes or polish...nevermind it being molded into the game we were originally sold on this being. At first I had hoped that PDX might give it some TLC, but then again I have no idea who technically owns the game at this point, or who holds the ST license. All that aside, it feels pretty weird seeing this game still being sold.
