About
Stack Machines is an open-ended puzzle programming game. Use the stack data structure in the form of 4 stack machines moving according to the modules(instructions) placed on a grid to read, transform and output different input sequences. Optimize your solutions for size, module count, speed and cost-effectiveness.

I didn't like the puzzles... like 50% of them. It's a solid idea, but the execution is very meh. There are way to many repeating puzzles, and some of them are straight up annoying. Annoying in a way such as: "I already know the solution, but building it is not fun at all" The cool things about irl stacks, is how you can use them to call subroutines (functions). Push parameters, call function, pop result. Reusable code! It would've been very nice if the game could give you new components that act as a solutions to previous puzzles. For example, after you solve the ABS level, you'd get a new tile "ABS" that would take the top most item on the stack and negete it if it's negative. I think that would've lead to more interesting puzzles and removed a lot of repetition. Also some early levels are brutal! A tutorial would help a lot
This game quality is at the same level as ZACKTRONIC puzzles game. Everything is pure logic. There is no guess work and there is no help. You are at your own. You need to think and the result is more gratification.
I helped playtest this game, it's got a set of operations that make solving each puzzle reasonably but not impossibly difficult and provide a lot of interesting optimization opportunities. A strong recommendation for those who want a Zachlike programming game that still requires some spatial reasoning.
Awesome programming game! Nice look, good puzzles, lots of potemtial for optmization of your solutions. I'm definitely having a great time so far.
I think it's a good puzzle game. It would be even better if the arrows had smoother animations.
Świetna gra logiczna. Wymaga niskopoziomowego myślenia, niczym programowanie w assemblerze ;)
Świetna gra logiczno-programistyczna
