What a horrible game to share a nickname with. Even with a guide it took two hours, and it was all awful. Horrible animation, acting, jokes, references, gameplay, logic... Screw this game. I need therapy. I'm considering picking a different internet handle now. Don't play this.
this ♥♥♥♥ puts silent hill to shame
I recommend this game purely as a blast from the past, or "so bad it's good". I remember having this game around 1996 and wondering why a kids game would be so violent (yes, you die in gruesome ways...). Until I realized it's not a kids game. And after knowing that, I had some laughs with some friends I showed it too. To be honest, it's incredibly bad. It's clearly influenced by other 3D-animated FMV adventure games from the time, like Atlantis: the Lost Tales. But where that game was engaging, this is just annoying. The shockfactor is fun in the beginning, and even continuing is a bit of fun, just to see what absurdity they thought of next. But ultimately, you'll play this for a maximum of an hour, and never again after that. The only reason I remember playing this longer, was simply, I had nothing else to play. I got this for € 1,99, and bought it just for the nostalgia trip, but ultimately even that was too much. So why did I recommend it? Well, just because of the fun of seeing it again after twenty years. If you;ve never played it, or have no nostalgic feelings for it otherwise, don't buy it. If you like other "So bad, it's good" games, you might give this a shot, but no guarantees... ;)
this made me want to die
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Spud! isn't just a game; it's a transcendental journey that places itself in a league of its own. From the moment I started playing, I was whisked away to a realm of unparalleled excitement and enchantment. To put it succinctly, Spud! isn't just a game, it's a masterpiece that deserves a place at the forefront of the gaming pantheon. The graphics are nothing short of astounding. The attention to detail in every pixel is astonishing, creating a world that's both visually stunning and immersive. From the lush landscapes to the intricately designed characters, every aspect of Spud! feels meticulously crafted. The game's visual prowess doesn't just draw you in – it envelops you in a breathtaking universe that's a feast for the eyes. But what truly sets Spud! apart is its captivating story. It weaves a narrative tapestry that's as compelling as it is heartwarming. Each twist and turn leaves you hungry for more, and the characters are so well-developed that they feel like old friends. The emotional depth of the storytelling is nothing short of remarkable, and it's a testament to the dedication of the game's creators. Gameplay mechanics are flawlessly integrated into the experience, creating a seamless and intuitive interaction. Whether it's navigating complex puzzles, engaging in heart-pounding battles, or simply exploring the game's world, every moment spent in Spud! is a testament to the developers' commitment to delivering an unparalleled gaming experience. I must also applaud the soundtrack, which elevates the atmosphere to new heights. Each composition complements the on-screen action perfectly, enhancing the emotional impact of every scene. The synergy between visuals, gameplay, and music creates an immersive experience that's hard to find in any other game. In my personal hierarchy of values, Spud! takes precedence even before the divine. The depth of engagement, the emotional resonance, and the sheer joy it brings me are incomparable. To put it simply, Spud! has left an indelible mark on my soul. In conclusion, if you're seeking an experience that transcends the boundaries of gaming, then Spud! is an absolute must-play.
Genre
Ein First Person Point & Click Adventure
Story

Follow Main group
 Follow Second group
 Follow third group
No potatoes.
It is truly unfortunate that someone had to bash this game simply because they didn't fully understand how to play. This is an OLD game and it was truly immersive for it's time. That being said, they never claimed to have remastered this game in really any way, so to expect phenomenal graphics is laughable. This is a very fun point and click game. Christmas themed (believe it or not) and tons of interesting things to see and take in along the way. Someone has mentioned some small form of racism within the game, and if it is the part I am thinking of- it is all in the eye of the beholder. Its a puzzle game from 1995 and there is absolutely NO reason not to play this game. Especially right now when people are thirsty for nostalgia and Christmas is right around the corner. Don't let negative reviews determine whether you will attempt a game or not- for I almost missed this gem due to Mr. "I am going to change my handle because of this game" and the numerous people who encouraged his comment. Give it a try and throw it back for yourself this Holiday Season :)
While it was ahead of its time when released and the gameplay is unique to say the least the story and plot are utterly horrific. That being said I am currently working on speedrunning it for kicks and because I actually gain a small amount of enjoyment from bad games and movies.
I strapped an alarm clock and some TNT to the Duracell Bunny to make a time bomb.
