I do not understand how the hell this game has positive reviews... -Abyss level is pure ripoff of Ori and the Will of the Wisps zone called Mouldwood Depths where player needs to run from light source to light source before darkness devours him. -Game difficulty is a joke, beaten entire game within 2 hours being terrible at games overall (playing Ori and the Blind Forest took me like 30 hours and like 2000 deaths, while i didn't even complete Super Meat Boy) -TRAPS MOVE AND KILL PLAYER DURING PAUSE GAME!!!!!!!!! -Controller does not work properly - you cannot dash like you can on keyboard. -You can actually stand on the edge of platform with spikes and the hitbox of fire balls is 3 times smaller then its size. The cute pixel graphics and tracker chiptune music does not save the game. I'm aware this was made partially during Game Jam but still why the hell is this worth few dollars? This does not deserve to be paid.

Sprout is easily one of my favourite bitesize platformers out there, its a simple 2d platformer with a dash mechanic, featuring 5 worlds each with their own gimmicks. The gameplay is simple yet fluid and each level is relatively short, the achievements to speedrun and flawlessly do everything, both work really well for how simple yet clever the level design is, its speedy on purpose and it flows really well, and within each world the gimmicks thrown in take time to adjust to but still aren't overwhelming and do their purpose very well to add some variety to the mix. The graphics ill admit feel a tad simple, and spikes can blend in a little sometimes but it isn't too much of an issue plus the game risks losing its simplicity if it were more complex so, who knows? The music is astonishingly good for a small short indie platformer, especially the abyss zone, i was crazily shocked to hear how good it sounds, the game excels in this department and can't praise it enough. Overall the game is just generally really solid, allowing for casual players to take their time and figure things out and for more advanced players to whizz through and push themselves for deathless/speedrun achievements, absolutely pick this up whenever you can.
Really cute 2d platformer. The level design is great and utilises the area gimmicks very well. Highly recommended!
Super short platformer with tight controls and nice variations.
Very nice precision platformer (like Celeste) with a very nice soundtrack (I also write music in that style). As a lover of Celeste and precision platformers in general, I enjoyed this little gem.
This game was really fun! Its very well polished and a very streamlined experience. I really loved areas 3 and 4. It's certainly worth the price and I will definitely head back to it to try the achievements!
the controls on this game are extremely tight. Seriously. Even some big platformer games have some kind of jank sometimes but this doesnt. If you died it was your fault.
好玩
Really nice platformer especially, I love that there is a lot of speedrun potential as the levels are short and can be done in many different ways, and also if you wanna have some more challange picking up optional collectibles is a good way to challange yourself. My only problem with this game is that the pause button does not really pause the game as the timer keeps on going and the game still progresses while you're in menu, this is not really an issue if you are not going for these additional collectibles but if when trying to get one you accidentaly happen to pass to next level pause button will not help you with that and you have to restart the whole stage and get to that stage with the collectible again.
