Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.86/day in the week to Sep 12 → 1.17/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I always wanted to stand at the cash register in a sporting goods store to understand what people, especially athletic people, eat, to be the same, by observation method. and here is my first shift in the game))
The sports store is good, we got gas station simulators, but at least there's something else
tres bon jeu
Я буквально чувствую запах нового оборудования и слышу звуки спортзала. Игра отлично передает атмосферу магазина — особенно когда заходят покупатели и начинают примерять товары. Всё это очень оживленно и увлекательно.
I had a surprisingly good time with this game. The experience felt fresh, enjoyable, and kept me interested for quite a while.
Sporting Goods Shop offers a hands-on retail management experience centered on building a small sporting goods business into a busy and increasingly efficient commercial operation. Developed by Business Tycoon and published by Business Tycoon alongside Gamersky Games, it takes the familiar shop simulator concept and gives it a focused sporting theme. The appeal comes from personally handling the everyday details of running the store before gradually hiring workers and shifting toward a broader management role. The basic routine revolves around purchasing merchandise, receiving deliveries, unpacking boxes, stocking displays, setting prices, and serving customers. Products can be ordered as the business gains access to additional brands and inventory categories. Pricing requires some attention because the goal is not simply to charge the highest possible amount. Keeping prices competitive while maintaining a worthwhile profit margin becomes part of the ongoing balancing act, particularly as the store grows and expenses increase. The sporting goods selection provides welcome variety. The store can eventually carry merchandise associated with fitness, swimming, golf, boxing, skating, racket sports, footwear, clothing, nutrition, and other recreational activities. Expanding the catalog makes progression visually noticeable because a previously sparse store gradually becomes packed with different products. It also encourages players to think about shelf placement and how available space should be divided among different categories. Customer service becomes increasingly demanding as traffic rises. Players can operate the checkout themselves, scanning purchases and handling transactions, but queues become difficult to manage once the business becomes popular. Online orders add another responsibility, while cleanliness and theft prevention introduce problems that cannot simply be ignored. These mechanics give expansion some consequences: a larger shop generates greater earning potential, but it also creates more work and requires better organization. Employees are therefore an important part of long-term progression. Cashiers can take over checkout duties, stockers help keep merchandise available, janitors maintain the premises, and security personnel provide protection against shoplifting. Hiring workers gradually transforms the experience from performing almost every task manually into supervising a functioning business. This transition is satisfying because improvements actually reduce the player's workload instead of merely increasing numerical statistics. Expansion provides another strong incentive to continue. Increasing the shop floor and warehouse space allows more products to be displayed and stored, while better organization can make the entire operation more efficient. Store arrangement also gives players some freedom to shape their business rather than following one rigid layout. Small customer-oriented activities and contests add additional personality to the experience and provide a break from the constant cycle of ordering, stocking, and selling merchandise. Cooperative multiplayer for up to four players is one of the more appealing features. Running the business with friends makes it possible to divide responsibilities, with different players handling stocking, customers, deliveries, and other duties simultaneously. The game adjusts customer demands when additional players participate, helping cooperative sessions retain some pressure. Solo play remains completely viable, however, particularly once enough employees have been hired to automate repetitive jobs. The presentation is functional and appropriately designed around a first-person management experience. Walking through a store that has developed from a modest beginning into a crowded sporting goods outlet creates a tangible sense of achievement. At the same time, repetition is unavoidable. Restocking shelves, moving boxes, processing transactions, and maintaining the store can become routine during extended sessions. Players who enjoy methodical simulator gameplay are more likely to see this repetition as relaxing, while those looking for constant surprises or deep economic strategy may find the systems somewhat straightforward. Steam Deck compatibility is officially categorized as Playable rather than fully Verified. Performance with the default graphics configuration is considered suitable, and the game can run successfully on SteamOS. However, handheld players should expect compromises. Some functionality is not fully accessible through the default controller configuration, touchscreen interaction or a community controller layout may occasionally be useful, and text entry can require manually opening the virtual keyboard. Some interface text may also appear small, while certain prompts can display keyboard, mouse, or non-Steam Deck controller icons. It is therefore functional on the Deck, but the experience is less seamless than a fully optimized handheld release. Overall, Sporting Goods Shop delivers an enjoyable progression-driven retail simulator with enough systems to make running the business feel active without turning it into an excessively complicated economic simulation. Its combination of merchandise management, pricing, staffing, security, store expansion, online orders, customer service, customization, and cooperative play creates a solid foundation. The repetitive nature of retail work will not appeal to everyone, but there is considerable satisfaction in starting with a hands-on operation and eventually overseeing a larger store where employees handle much of the daily workload. For players who enjoy business simulators built around gradual improvement and optimization, it is an appealing interpretation of the genre. Rating: 8/10
