!! ESTROGEN BLAST !!
This is what I imagine is happening inside of my body each time I take my Hrt meds.
This game fried my brain so that the microplastics addling it would melt and congeal into one big macroplastic. I can't recommend it enough. Gaming has peaked, I'm afraid, and I won't stop interfacing with splatter until a neon film has formed over my retinas.

It's a solid gimmick shooter, but gets repetitive fast
The difficulty is all over the place, the pacing as well, with it all just kind of petering out. But hey, when the gameplay gets going and the music is pumping, it's a fun seizure to experience. There is some semblance of narrative, but nothing spectacular. There is a vision behind the wall of light and color, and though I may not "get it", I ultimately enjoyed it.
Basically a strange mixture of Cruelty Squad and Hypnospace Outlaw, Splatter is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ experience. Anyone that enjoys fps games should give it a try. It's very replayable, the music kicks ass, and some of the visual effects give me actual acid flashbacks. Just stop and stare at a wall or light source in this game and you'll notice a very subtle color filter that's constantly shifting... super trippy This game is WEIRD, and I mean that in all of the best ways.
I absolutely adore Splatter. It feels a little impenetrable at first. The first level doesn't make the best impression, but if you stick with it to just the second level the game's style and energy really start to shine. It takes a second to really get a grip on the nuances of the combat and movement, but when it clicks it feels fantastic. Every level is so distinct both in visuals and mechanics. The visuals are fantastic, I love how the enemies are animated and how they stand out against the environment, even when it's coated in a thick layer of multicolored blood. The music deserves special mention, Splatter has an excellent sense of spectacle that's exponentially elevated by the music, particularly the explicit versions of tracks that come in when you're doing well help to drive the action. The writing is very funny and character driven, and the voice performances are great. Particularly the second antagonist was one of my favorite video game characters in recent memory. I feel like with some of the subject matter this game's humor veers dangerously close to being a bit dated, but that stuff isn't at the heart of it, which is a lot more universal. And, without giving anything away, the ending is absolutely phenomenal. Everything makes sense and you get complete closure. I really cannot recommend this game enough. I love every single part of it. Even the character customization, you only ever see your characters hands, and yet this game gives you more choices than most games will give you without forking out for a battlepass. This game is deeply, deeply underappreciated. I implore anyone who likes shooters to play this game. Like I said, it feels a little rough at first, but the highs are absolutely worth the time and money investment. Sent from my Ouya
This is another hidden fps GEM in a flooded genre. Even with the games stupid story, unique gameplay, and unique graphics, it stands with a playercount of literally ZERO when i am making this review, and only about 165+ reviews. This game needs a lot more attention. The gameplay is also weirdly unique from other fps-s to where its extremely satisfying to start dominating the arena, especially with how challenging each level can get. Bought this game after playing cruelty squad and wanted a similar yet different experience, which this game achieves. I'd recommend to purchase this title.
