About
Enter into a world thick with bubbling psychedelia. Descend deep into a new ecology teeming with multiple pathways, luminous levels, and complex obstacles. Transcend the material realm and assume your true form as Spinch, a hyper-agile organism consumed by the quest to rescue its litter of missing offspring from an endless invasion of misshapen and malformed offbeats and oddities.
Bringing back old school difficulty, Spinch will have you replaying sections until you master your timing and reflexes. Dash, dodge, climb, swim, jump, and even shoot your own babies as you take on six enigmatic bosses in six vibrant worlds. Collect items to give you the upperhand while searching for your missing babies. Be on the lookout for your cousin - he's babysitting some of your relatives, but he's a little weird. With only a ticking clock and quick restarts - no lives or game overs - the game is welcoming to players of all experiences, but a formidable challenge to even the most capable of speedrunners.
The world of Spinch has been crafted and brought to life by talented award-winning Canadian cartoonist, Jesse Jacobs, known for his precise and detailed line work in combination with bold and simple color palettes. His works contain an affiliation with psychedelia, spirituality, alternate realities, and a blending of nature with technology. James Kirkpatrick, well known for his participation in the early Canadian graffiti movement and as avant-garde hip-hop artist, Thesis Sahib, created the audio landscape of retro soundbites and electronic sounds found within Spinch.

Please do yourself a favour and play a different platformer. Spinch starts off pretty nice, the controls felt a bit floaty from the start, but nothing you can't get used to after a level or three. But unfortunately it doesn't give you more than three levels before the level design starts degrading. Even in the first world, the level design is sometimes very confusing, and that's without the gimmicks that make some of the later worlds borderline unbearable. This game has the worst underwater levels I've ever played, the execution of the almost-3-D-artstyle makes it hard to see where walls are at times, and the placement of platforms and obstacles seems to have been done without much thinking about the actual moveset the player character has. All this culminates in world 6; if you think it sounds fun to play a maze level with enemies that constantly chase you and get super speed if you get too far ahead of them, that also constantly swaps gravity without changing your camera or controls accordingly, and that sometimes gets you stuck in the ground for no reason (oh yeah, this game has some pretty bad bugs by the way, even softlocking me once so hard that I had to quit to menu and restart the level), and that is also the longest level in the game with easily missable and far spaced-out checkpoints sounds fun to you - then Spinch is for you. Godspeed.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I don't know why this game doesn't get more love. I think the platforming is great. It has simple mechanics and each level presents unique challenges. Couple that with great trippy visuals and a banger soundtrack. Give it a shot, you will know within a few levels if it is your jam or not.
It just isn't fun to play, simple as
Very good, no nonsense platformer.
五年了,还在更新,热情好评。游戏本身质量也可,画风独特;非质量入库几要素也有,可以推荐。 we need Ach have cn too. 我们需要成就也有中文。 202401,steam,steam掉卡抵扣,它处自定义包入的本体约6元。爱人如己,目前就这,看以后追评。
Maybe if it was free it would be more of a shout, but paying money for this game is just diabolical, down right horrendous. You could buy any other game... Literally most games would be more of a game / more enjoyable than this but it is just lowkey addictive for a 2d game.. but also infuriating (heartbreak emoji fr (for real)). The bosses are ong (on god) horrendous, it's just practically the same thing every time (exhale emoji fr) Some of the mechanics be acting goofy too. The achievements soooo do not work if anybody cares about that. Also would sooo not recommend if you have that epilepsy / or if you're blind. Playing deaf would make this game 10 times better though as the music highkey dreadful. Might also trip people out who are on LSD. After repeating the same levels from fumbling the game too much I realised I could literalleh just be playin elder scrolls, or not playin anything and be having such a fun time. Even a choccy milk. Oh my gosh I really want a choccy milk right now. I am going to get one, though I left it in the freezer yesterday so I hope that does not affect it now that it has unfrozen (idk (I don't know) choccy milk / milk freeze to unfreeze mechanics fr).
World 5 I find actually impossible with the upside down section being a jank mess. Jumping while upside down is slower and more prone to errors. The monster following behind you is too fast and speeds up when losing sight of you while you have to dodge the glowing hit boxes on the floor that are perfectly spaced for you to land on and take damage.
Opinions may differ, but I really like this game. Great collision detection, awesome style, and catchy music. If you like colorful games, you should definitely give this one a try.
pro +Visuals +Music (if you are into this kind of music ofc) +the first couple of levels are nice cons -too expensive for whats on offer here the ammount of content and the quality -water levels !!! (like so many others have pointed that out.. it took me like 45 mind to beat the first water level with like 100 deaths its so frustrating incredible in all the wrong ways basicly the first bounch of levels are nice or even cool the difficulty ramps up .. and then there is this wall its crazy - the game forces you basicly to play slow in the most tedious ways later on - many levels later have only 1 checkpoint Hey I beat cuphead and its dlc .. played a ton of other games and i did hope it would kind of kinda be the same or similar .. I even got the Spinch T-Shirt because it looked to cool I did wait for a hefty discount and man at first its nice and fun then gets tough (thats OK / supposed to be like that) but then the fun does a big nosedive judgeing from the achivements hardly anyone bothered to keep playing after world 3 .. the achivments i got have like 3.5% of people for all the babys in world 4 .. man in some ways this game would deserve a mixed review but considdering the wasted potential I'll have to give a thumbs down.. check some fotage on YT i know its not a lot but go search it .. 29 Players max in the past 5 years .. currently today there where 2 me and some other guy.. so I guess go for it if you want a game all to yourself..
I really like the art in this game, the sound effects and music really sell the hyper psychedelic dreamscape setting they've got going. I think it's worth recommending on those grounds just because of how original it is. The platforming is really fun too, with a steady difficult curve that really captures that old-school platformer gameplay. I'm still working through this one, but I'd highly recommended. It's sad to see this game so unpopular, it's definitely weird but it's underrated in my opinion. Oh, also this runs great on the Steamdeck.
