spaceBOUND is a brutally challenging puzzle-platformer, set in a zero-gravity environment. Stranded and bound by their oxygen tether, two astronauts must work together to make it out alive. Go in alone, or team up and face the unknown.

Apparently, now there is no online co-op. I backed this game on kickstarter because they said this feature would be in the game. Now this game is worthless to me.
Developer promised online co-op during the Kickstarter campaign. After, they reneged on the promise. It was the *only* reason I supported the game.
Super meat boy, Spelunky and Dark Souls just had a hatechild, then threw it into space. PROS: + Steep difficulty curve and challenging puzzles. + Couch coop - perfect for ruining friendships. + Catchy music accompanied by the soothing sounds of dying astonauts. CONS: - You'll probably end up throwing your controller out the window.
This game will put friendships to the test as you figure out just how well you can cooperate with each other, especially when your death count reaches into the hundreds (which it likely will). Even if you are just playing it by yourself, it's the type of game that can be rage-inducing, but rewarding once you beat those points. Eventually you will feel like Tom Cruise in Edge of Tomorrow, as you (hopefully) get better with each death. Pros: -Gameplay that is frustratingly difficult but somehow draws you in for more (like your Ex) -Excellent soundtrack that soothes you through all those deaths -Retro/nostalgic art style that harkens back to the good ol' days of arcade games with the pals -If you manage to not kill each other after playing, your friendship will be stronger than ever Cons: -You will get stuck on some levels, and this can be somewhat frustrating if all you want to do is advance -Heavy emphasis on the co-op aspect, so if you both aren't teaming up well, you're screwed Overall, you could spend hundreds of dollars on couples therapy, or you could just play this game because once you finish it, you will both know each other on a spiritual level. 10/10, would die again
This game is HARD! But a lot of fun! I tried playing it both on my own, and with my girlfriend. I'm not sure which is more difficult - trying to control both of the astronauts on your own requires a lot of attention dividing, but playing it with a partner requires good communication and co-operation. The game is pretty brutal and throws hazards at you from the very first level. It's one thing figuring out how to get through a particular level, and an entirely separate challenge successfully coordinating the astronauts to accomplish whatever needs to be done. But when you do finally finish a level, it's very rewarding and makes you want to get straight into tackling what's next. It's frustrating yet challenging game and I'd recommend it to any experienced player that's looking for something more demanding. A good one to play over a lunch hour at work with a colleague.
Hard but Steady Have played Teslagrad before, so I don't afraid the difficulty. But spaceBound is a better design challenge!
This is a nicely presented Indie game with a good concept and solid presentation... But one of the hardest games I've encountered. Many are comparing it to Dark Souls and Super Meat Boy in terms of difficulty, but I think it may rise above that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9nwiLAjH2A After the first boss fight, there is a huge spike in difficulty, that I haven't seen anyone get past in the few other First Impressions/Review videos I watched. So if that sounds like a challenge for you, and you're really good and video games, then maybe you should pick this up!
This game is a fantastic example of the perfect blend between rage-inducing difficulty, and puzzle elements. This game can have to twitching with rage until you finally figure out the method to beat each level. spaceBOUND is NOT easy, and is best played with someone who can tolerate (and dish out) outbursts of fury. To say it is difficult would be an understatement, but the mechanics of gameplay; from using your tether as a sling shot, to being dragged down by rocks; this game has you feeling like every action you take requires careful consideration. It's colourful scheme and bright visuals both contrast and compliment the machine-like environment and the hard casing of the asteroid you find yourself on. Music is eerie, but calm; not interrupting your thought processes, but not quietly going on in the background. If you're interested; BUY THIS GAME
So, I was trying out this game alone (controlling both characters), and it was very difficult because my little brain can't follow both characters, so I asked my friend to play with me, I was controlling one character with WASD, and my friend was controlling the other one with the arrow keys. Let's just say the game doesn't get any easier like this. I was calling him names I won't even repeat, let's just say he was dying alot, same as me. Our friendship was almost over and then a miracle happened - we passed the level. We were screaming our guts out, it was so satisfying. Full review : http://opiumpulses.com/article/175
spaceBOUND is a little hard at some points, but overall is a great game. The gameplay is fun, the levels are unique, and I have a feeling this game will do really well.
