half finished and dull
This game is not amazing. It's pretty good! Clearly a labor of love for a small team. I think everything about it is really solid, and I'm having a good time with it. I would not recommend at full price. I think the chief issues with it are that it does not have enough content, all the content it does have is easily experienced within a few hours, and that its game systems are not very compelling. I mean I could go through every single thing that this game does and find something that I wish was done better...buuuut there's also always this nugget of goodness that kept me playing. I like this game a lot. It's so so so imperfect. I wish nearly every aspect of the "game" that wasn't flying your ships had been improved on. But it doesn't really matter. It's worth getting.

I couldn't get past 15 minutes in the game. Inconsistent Control Layout: Fighters and gunships aren't the same. Fighters use WASD+Mouse pretty much how you'd expect, but then gunships (like corvettes in Homeworld) use CTRL+SHIFT+A+D+W+S (i.e. not normal WASD/it's in a totally different way), didn't get a chance to test anything bigger because < 15 minutes but if 2 / 2 don't match... seriously ain't no one got the time to learn different layouts, why not just use the same keyboard controls? It's so weird and it feels unfinished. The Menu UI is awful: Pop-up descriptions go out of the displayable view, boxes don't line up right, lots of things it's hard to tell if they're intentionally going off screen or what, everything feels janky and amateur -- these things are inexcusable for a post-1.0 release. Tutorial: The tutorial bugs out and makes you click and do things that you can't do if you got curious and tried something else in the meanwhile -- more items I would not expect for a post-1.0 release. It feels like there's an awesome game hidden inside, it's just the implementation around the UX is so sloppy.
Could use some more features but on sale I would get it
Yep
highly recommend this game~ very fun. devs if yall see this please work on the hug ships Ai. i love em but god everytime i look away to command other ships they are pointing there rears at the enemies rather than turning to face them so all there weapons can fire. and yes ive had them set to close combat.
Very easy to understand controls and fun to play.
I love this game
This is a really fun space combat/command sim-lite. the game is easily learned not like how EVE is easily learned like its actually easy to play . I love the big ships and figuring out which guns are best. some of the guns need better explanations as i didn't know the FTS-22 was a dang flak gun though it says it can shoot missiles its not super effective the laser pd gun is best for that IMO but the flak can shoot everything so you don't lose as much offensive firepower if you take flak. I also have my fighters set up as anti-fighter monsters your fighter need guns that can at least pen their own armor so they are effective against what you are fighting. !!!Also huge note- in the ship roster when you click a ship there are boxes on the far right of the ship stats yeah those upgrade the ships stats!! another helpfull hint build one fighter kit it out max its upgrades then hit the copy button it copies everything and saves you alot of time.
This was surprisingly a great game. Hit all the right dopamine triggers.
