In the 23rd century, mankind has spread to the corners of the galaxy. Having been pushed too far, one human faction has begun its fight for independence, sparking a civil war between the newly formed FCR and the domineering ACC. However, not all battles are fought on the front lines: as FCR operative James Weston, you've been deployed far from civilized space, sent to investigate the disappearance of an allied team on an unforgiving alien world.
Dropped into the middle of the wilderness, relying on your wits may not be enough: you're going to want an arsenal, and the planet has everything you need to build one. An abundance of exotic ores and plants are ready to be turned into cutting edge workstations, mid-battle snacks, sturdy base defenses, and (of course) a dazzling array of high-tech weaponry. Between the savage creatures and merciless soldiers that roam the land, you'll need every bullet you can craft in order to come out on top.
With these tools at your disposal, you'll have to pick up the trail of your compatriots, forging your way through a lush forest, descending into the bowels of the earth, trudging through a frigid land of ice, and beyond. Just be mindful of your body's needs - out here, thirst and starvation are as dangerous as claws and guns, and death isn't picky about how it gets you.
For those undeterred, the world's secrets await discovery. Weston has a mission to accomplish: do you have what it takes to see it through?

The game advertises Co-Op. But the developers have apparently shut down the servers. If you're buying for the Co-Op, don't waste your time.
I bought this game back in like 2018 when I first got a vr and haven't really touched it since. I recently got back into vr and seeing the negative reviews I did not think I would enjoy my time playing this game. I ended up finishing the game and I think this was one of the best vr games that I've played so far. Now that might not be saying a lot because all of the games I have are 2018 or older but I really enjoyed the gameplay, the guns, fighting different enemies, and even the crafting system. The woodchucker might be your best friend. I got stuck outside of the map twice in my playthrough and had to use the woodchucker to slowly dwindle dwon my health until I could respawn. Fun game though, would reccommend!
I half expected to be getting a refund after seeing the negative reviews, but for me it's a really fun game and the motion controls on pico 4 are all working correctly, it would be nice if the devs came back to it and polished it up a bit, because it definitely could do with a bit... AA doesn't seem to work in this game for some reason and performance can be a bit hit or miss occasionally but not bad enough to stop me playing, with a bit of spit and polish it would be one of my favourites for sure, it still looks good too, better than a lot of the new stuff.
我想问一下,就我走路和转向必须要按一下摇杆才能操作还是大伙都是得这样才能操作?这么阴间的设定是哪个天才想出来的?
Game is nothing like the photos or videos.....
Disgusting and blurry graphics. The worst VR interface I've ever seen. F**k-off-maded interaction with weapons and objects and bugs in the very first minutes of the game.
PICO4 手柄能不能适配一下 真的很难受. 全凭借喜欢忍受着折磨
Game worked great back on the Oculus Rift CV1. Never finished it though so now years later I am back with a Oculus (or I guess now Meta) Quest 2... Not so great... lol First off hands point up so to point your weapon straight you are pointing almost straight down and to point down you are gonna have to have alien wrist joints! Luckily going into SteamVR settings and controller settings I noticed a few people already made custom controller settings for this game and the Quest 2 so I chose one and problem gone! Well one problem... Now I have issue where the quick menu you need to use to access weapons, tools, food, and water is waaaaaaay too close and bigger than my field of view and it is only open for a second unless I have my arms spread wide so hands no where in view I can't select anything as it will just auto grab whatever is where my hand is when menu pops up... Still have not figured out how to fix that... I am too tall... In my base my head is through the ceiling in the cave areas as I am a foot or two too tall... SteamVR seems to have gotten rid of the height adjustment setting sooooo.... hummm.... I read I can change it with 3rd party software that is free and gives back many settings. At one point my hands fused together! I could not separate my hands! Had to quit game and reload. Looked up issue and others had it too and no idea how to fix it other than quit and reload. Finally I am able to play and got through the portal and had to fight a critter with the worse weapon... Trying to change gave me the too close menu and I kept getting water or a burger as it just popped up for a second and gone from being too close. Erg... Finally got a different weapon and didn't die... Critter did! Walked to a cave as I think my destination is that way... there are distance numbers in meters that countdown as i am getting close. Went into cave and had a 2 min load where everything freezes and glitches until it loads new area. I have a 12 core Ryzen 5900, 64 GB RAM, 3070 video card (was 1080 when played on Rift), and it's loading off a M.2 SSD drive that transfers at 3,600MB/s which is waaaaaay faster than my old SSD which did just 600MB/s when I was playing on Rift so one would hope the load times would be a bit quicker than a min or two every few min of walking around. I arrived at the new section and walked a couple of steps and then somehow got stuck and could not walk anymore. Zero response from walking. I can look around and turn, but not walk. I think I got stuck on a piece of grass as others complain about randomly getting stuck in the environment. I played with settings and still not walking when my headset said low power and shutoff. Erg... I had headset plugged in, but apparently the USB outlet I plugged into was off so it was not charging as I played. So played for 2 hours and only actually played for 2 min as rest was trying to make the game work... lol I remember it being more fun... If you have patience and get the quirks worked out it is probably fun enough... If you want it to just work... Might want to skip this one as no updates since Feb 2020 which explains why Quest 2 needed community controller files. I'll still play it as want to finish the game, but I can't recommend it anymore. I might give up too if I can't get the bugs worked out.
I personally enjoyed this game. Now, don't get me wrong, it has a lot of bugs and the mechanics are very much dated in comparison to modern VR games. On top of that you can't connect to the multiplayer server so no Co-op or PVP. To make myself clear, I would not spend $29.99 on this title. I paid around 8 bucks for it and for that I am more than satisfied. Though there are bugs like getting stuck in the terrain or a giant monster stomping on you until you fall through the map, the game is very much playable. I ran into no issues gathering resources, crafting weapons, armor and food. I had no issues with lag or artifacts while playing but I can image it would be tough on cards that are mid tier or lower, (I played on an AMD 5900X with a 6900XT card). Story lines are not all that great but the graphics were beautiful, especially for a game from 2018. Minus a small amount of grind for resources, it took me around 16 hours to complete the game on Master Mode collecting all the achievements other than those for multiplayer since I could not connect.
Sehr atmosphärisch, Steuerung jedoch gewöhnungsbedürftig. Durchgespielt in 8,7 Stunden. Im Angebot kann ich es empfehlen.
