This is a wonderful game! At its core it is a very fun addicting merge / idle game. The PVP has exciting strategy elements, and when you make a powerful move it feels REALLY good. There are tons of colourful characters to collect, which has top notch art. The game pulls you in with its story & polish, clever humour, and the boppin' music. Exploring the galaxy feels fun and as a Star Trek / Star Wars fan I loved picking out all the references. It takes the best parts of idle and merge mechanics to make something new and fresh.
cute narrative, but remarkably flat gameplay for an incremental that has clearly put as much work into it as is shown in the writing and visuals; there's just very little going on in the core gameplay to engage with, and i prefer more in my incremental games to do than "load it up, check through a few things, close it for a while", especially if it wants me to open it back up in tens of minutes. notably, having the most basic of your upgrades -- the tap and auto-tap power levels -- literally reset every time you set out is bewildering. why would you do that? what purpose does this serve? and the persistent upgrades require massive amounts of resources that you aren't likely to get for a while, and in particular all need the same resource that goes into the temporary tap power levels. the 'merge battle' stuff was an immediate no as soon as i tried a single training battle and could barely figure out how to do anything, and quickly hit the point where was constantly being hammered with attacks and couldn't meaningfully approach the "merge" part. it's chaotic and aggressive, and not at all fun. after all of that, when it got to the monetization, and there were huge piles of ways of spending money on ephemerals, and no permanent unlocks -- not even a "no ads" option -- i knew i had to get out. i'm sorry, it doesn't matter how good your story and characters are when your gameplay is disrespectful of people's time and your monetization is clearly abusive. normally i would just shrug and set the game aside without chiming in either way on the review, but it's baffling that you would put all that work into the narrative and then do... all the rest of this. so i had to say something, particularly since nobody else was bothering so far.

Before I played Space Game: Star We There Yet?, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
Pretty fun so far! I am excited to get more crew! Love the art, and the dialogue is hilarious! Battles are super tough, but that's probably because I haven't worked out the best strategy yet! I tried the Grannie battle and that was just impossible. But funny! Good job guys! I look forward to playing more :)
Fun little take on Clicker/Idle and Match 3 games. The basic premise is to travel from planet to planet, clicking and buying idler upgrades to speed you along. Send your crew members on away missions or to perform shipboard tasks, and when there's nothing else to do, there's a different take on a Match 3 game where you upgrade spaceships and then launch your fleet against the enemy. A variety of different commanders add some strategic elements to the Match 3. It's a port over from mobile, so you're not going to be getting much, but you can ignore the pay to win elements in the shop and have fun for a couple days with a cute idler.
Wish I could like it. Cute concept but super boring.
extremely annoying, there are better incrementals out there.
progress WAAAAAAAY to much pay2win!!!! As a free player nearly no chance to do sth !!! Sure you can progress with your airship... but there are also (pvp) fights... you can't finish a single one of them cause all your characters are too bad... not even a practise fight etc. cause you need (a lot) of real money to upgrade them.... AND it has NO ACHIEVEMENTS !!!! So and idle game without achievements is pretty pointless and nobody wants to spent real money then.... so avoid
I like this game. I really do like this game. Even in early access it shows potential. The artstyle is nice. A rather simple one but most if not all the characters are easily distinguishable. The chibi/bobblehead look fits the crew. The story (not yet complete but slowly the plot elements are being included in the form of cutscenes) is quite amusing, definitely not serious but not overly infused with humor, a pleasant balance. As any idle game there is this one requires you to play for a bit, leave and then return the next day to get the offline profits, finish missions and so on. Upgrading can be a bit slow but eventually the award debris you get every once in a while is going to allow you to get a sizeable boost. I enjoyed the battles, after a few trial and error attempts in Practice Mode I got a hang of it. Match three mechanic is not something often used in a way that goes beyond "match three or more elements, gain score, get more score than opponent" in online matches. There aren't many online opponents but after the devs launch the mobile version I am sure there will be more. The crew members are varied when it comes to their special abilities and they can be made into formidable combinations (not outright game-breaking but still hard to counter). The devs are actively trying to improve it one update at a time. When I started, the last destination was the 37th one. Now it's the 79th one. They are planning to add more and I am all for it. The Discord server is friendly and the developers are quite active there. I got a pleasant response every time I submitted a bug report. So Star We There Yet? Not yet, but I bet it's a journey you won't forget.
