A Well Crafted POORLY OPTIMISED game! Props to the story development team and world designers. Absolutely loved all the boss fights. I see why people comment on repetitive fights (while exploring), but Boss fights are all unique and fun! SOUND TRACK is out of this world! It's really sad why they just didn't optimise this game well. It's a stuttering hell! Hopefully we get a patch from DEVS. But so far I absolutely love the game despite poor optimisation.
Very beautiful and empty, boring gameplay, a bunch of stereotypes that I'm supposed to connect with.

I will finish this one day, but as it stands I'm just not interested. It has a lot of promise but goes downhill pretty quickly. We start off with an intriguing beginning and the introduction of some really fun game mechanics, but it swiftly becomes just tedious and the gameplay loop is so repetitive, I found myself beginning to rush through instead of enjoy the story. The story starts off good but eventually becomes really flat and boring, The good things; the graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is really smooth, the combat is quite fun and seamless, just a boring game overall.
It's a short and sweet experience, the art is gorgeous, gameplay is fun and fluid and the characters are loveable.
It's...fine! I'm really not sure what to think about it. The artwork and voice acting is phenomenal. The music was strange - maybe it's an intentional stylistic choice meant to match some genre I'm unfamiliar with, but the lyrics of some of the songs were so ear-piercingly on the nose that I actually had to disable the lead voice music (nice that it's an option though!). The combat is a bit arduous - everything feels a bit like a sponge, and only some attacks are well telegraphed enough where they can be dodged with any consistency. Camera angles can make combat a bit frustrating, and quite often the game will kinda force your camera angle to look at something which got a little irritating since I usually wanted to look at something else - felt a bit like someone grabbing my face. The gameplay is also incredibly linear and pretty repetitive, and there really aren't any puzzles. Altogether I'd call this closer to an interactive narrative than a game, if this were a spectrum, which isn't to say it's bad, but helps set expectations.
This game was beyond incredible - it was refreshing in the best way possible. It gave me the wonder I used to have when I was a kid, when I could play a video game for hours and hours on end. I caught myself losing track of time several nights I played. The story kept me engaged and you can really tell the studio poured their hearts into this. The emotionally heavy stories wove a tale that showcases American Deep South folklore in a way I have never seen done before in a video game. The voice acting was top notch, especially from the main character, which was cool to hear her commentary on the world around you. There is a smooth progression of difficulty as the stakes in the game get higher. While the obstacles in the game can get repetitive, especially during chase scenes at the end of each major plot point, the art and story really take the main stage. I found myself wandering around the environment, fully emersed and hoping to catch glimpses into whichever storyline we were exploring at the time - which gave me plenty of time to listen to the magical soundtrack. Even Crouton's little side minigames are each unique and charming, and they were always rewarding to interact with. This is genuinely one of the best games I have played in a long time, and I will be recommending this to everyone. Bravo!
