SD2 is a fun, simplistic, and well engineered Bullet Hell Rhythm Game with a large selection of levels that showcase the game's mechanics in great ways, everywhere from unique and interesting usage of visual effects, to insane patterns that I know I never would've thought of on my own. Each bullet type is unique in their mechanics, from the simplistic Arrow, to Homing shots, Plus shots that boomerang back towards where they came, Hug shots that you need to move into in order to avoid damage, and more. The level editor is streamlined and easy to understand once you adjust to it, and I have personally started a handful of levels that I have never finished due to EXTREME ADHD. I find myself listening to new music and thinking "Oh that could make a good pattern for this song." before hopping on and making a concept lol. With all of these well made mechanics, the gameplay is really whatever YOU want to make from it. If you like the base game, (and you probably will) then great! If you want more challenging levels, there's a discord full of some wonderful people who are constantly making custom levels and sharing them among each other. I know of a few people who have actually dumped a few thousand hours into the level editor, and their levels make the base game look like the tutorial. There's not much else to really say about the game. It's fun, it's creative, and you can tinker around with it to make some really cool stuff. Definitely worth full price. Also to address all 3 people who gave this game a negative review for the Health system that was implemented, I can understand the frustration surrounding it, but A, if you shattered on a level, you weren't hitting a high score anyway, and B, the mechanic can be turned off with the Mod button. So there's LITERALLY nothing to hate about this game, which is a serious rarity. The lack of a native level browser is definitely its weakest point, but I have hope that Bean will add one in later. Manually downloading them isn't too much of a hassle anyway.

Even though it's a good game, it's just too hard for me
Such a hidden gem! The editor is so simple you can just pick it up and start creating levels!
THis game is crazy insane and some of the levels are straight up unfair and I like it :)
pretty good
definitive bullet hell experience
works incredibly well as a sequel to SD+: way more projectile types (= way more fun), cool (sometimes schizophrenic) graphics which run smoothly even on integrated graphics, good song library (many intersections with SD+ lib, but new tracks are fire) i bought SD+ few months before SD2, but honestly i think you can buy only SD2 because SD+ seems bland after playing sequel linux moment: there are various graphic bugs when running on proton (e.g. window went black when i tried to screenshot something and alttab-ed) but at least it launches, and again, runs smoothly most of the time
best game i have ever played in a while, love the editor, love the gameplay. 100/10
