Always loved number 2 growing up but didn't play the other entries after that. Tekken has always been my preferred fighting game but Soulcalibur is a solid second for me. The sword fighting gameplay is smooth and fast. Beautiful level designs and the funniest part of all the ring outs. Starting with the campaign/arcade mode. It's really simple, you fight whoever they put in front of you, the end. Also tried the online mode and found a lobby with three other players in it. Got to watch Harvey bird man beat down on someone which was entertaining to watch. Overall a solid fighting game. As of this reviews date, The game is 90% off so no better time than getting it now. If they ever make another one in the future, THEY NEED TO ADD GUTS FROM BERSERK HE WOULD BE PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally got around to playing this game. I understand the campaign is meant to be played through several times, with different characters, in order to get the full story. But when 90% of the campaign is looking at still images, while listening to painfully slow dialogue, there is no reason to want to replay. The combat is fun, and the campaign focuses entirely on keeping you from doing that.
My biggest joy in SC6 is making characters for my friend and watching the CPU fight. We even held tournaments! Perfect game for a get together.
This game is a love letter to those who grew up with Soulcalibur II. Having not played the series in years, this felt like a reunion with an old friend. The combat is the same, but fresher and I love some of the mechanics such as the Soul Charge. For those such as myself who are not that into fighting games, Soulcalibur VI provides a super easy way to enjoy them. You can mash buttons and win your fights, or dive deeper and learn the specific mechanics. I am enjoying the Libra of Soul storyline. It is very similar to the one we got in SC2, with text boxes leading to fights. They recreated the feeling of SC2's campaign with LoS perfectly. There is also the Soul Chronicle campaign as well, which I am excited to get to try after finishing LoS. All the old favorites are back, with some new welcome additions and some super great cameos. If you loved SC2 as a kid, you will adore this game.
I will always recommend Soulcalibur to someone. It's honestly one of the better 3D fighters I've played in a while and truthfully, it's the only one I'm decent at LOL.
Waiting for Soul Calibur 7
⁶🤷⁷ But yeah, it's a great game. Character creator worth it alone.
Only complaint is that you can't upload more than one custom character at a time.
doesn't work with amd software, is running very slow, you can work around that with running it with -dx11 but the lower the graphics that faster it will run, cartoonly fast, I'm sad i liked the game but is forgotten by the creators
The game is actually so fun it’s a shame that is has a really low player count and no crossplay, there is players but get used to play against the same TOXIC people, the community is not really good lol
