About
Soul Scathe is a VR Dungeon Crawler RPG with procedurally generated dungeons focused on reactive melee and magic combat. Embark on a journey as the Valiant Returner, a principal battlemage that died during battle in the past. Losing all sense of your past self, you are revived and guided by the Asapal Deity whom witnessed your last moments. They seek to restore your lost memories of the past by guiding you to collect the scattered fragments of your soul.
Procedurally generated dungeons - Venture through the depths of dangerous dungeons, combating against deadly foes and traps along the way. Discover secrets, loot, and climb and explore a path through in order to survive long enough to find the Hallway Of Elusion and get back to the safehaven of Mistchamber.
Spell Fusion System - Utilize 14 different base spells, many of which can be fused together by physically gesturing and combining the spells to create a brand new spell. In total there are 9 spell fusions, giving you 23 unique spells to cast.
Reactive Melee Combat - Deliver hard blows to foes with responsive auditory, haptic, and visual feedback that can extend into decapitations and satisfying hits.
Use The Environment Against Foes - Use everything at your disposal by turning deadly traps into equally deadly weapons. Bring down heavy chandeliers, lead enemies into hidden switches, and use telekinesis to control the mechanisms, delivering nearby devastation.
Level Up and Personalize Your Style - As expected from RPGs, you can level up and assign stat points to give you the choice of how you want to evolve.
bHaptics Support - Immerse yourself further with official support for bHaptics peripherals.

Bare recommendation, but needs loads of work. THe bugs once you get past the first boss are HORRENDOUS!
Very good game with potential. What needs some polish in my opinion is as follows: 1. A beam function like in Half Life Alyx where you can easily grab objects from a distance. 2. Better holster system for the sword that makes a lot easier to sheath and pull the sword. 3. Menu button on the controlers. 4. More graphic options. 5. Better over all performance. Had to adjust to medium on my 2080TI. DLSS integration. Hope that helps.
This is quite a bit of fun. I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more attention. You can tell by the reviews that it is a good game but for whatever reason it isn't all that popular. It deserves more. That said there are some clunky things about it. There's very little physics. It kinda feels like you're playing a flatscreen game that was ported to VR (think Skyrim). It really just comes down in most cases to bashing enemies it the head as fast as you can. Blocking also seems hit or miss (there aren't shields as far as I can tell) and it's hard to figure what works and what went wrong when it fails. It's still a lot of fun to play, though. If you're looking for realistic combat this isn't for you, but if you just want a fun romp through a dungeon this fits the bill nicely. I would give it a 7.5/10.
that was a great game! i loved the mechanics and how the world feels. that was my best souls VR experience yet! i might have over leveled since the game became very easy by the end and i killed the last boss in 1 try with 2 health flasks. so maybe don't level everything to 40.
Tolles Spiel !
One of my favourite game for the genre. It's simple, but... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. PRO visuals and lore fun to play CONS many little imperfections a little raw WANT more environment variety
So far the game has some rough patches but from what i played it was really fun. Hope to see more from this Dev and hope it doesn't get lost in the sea of bad games on steam. From what I played the magic feels awesome really like that part. Sword play is okay. game is nice and hard " that's what she said" and the difficulty isn't my issue with this title. Just get it support the dev's see if its for you. Sadly the game is not for me I will wish list & Check back later.
I'm only about 3 hours in, but enjoying it overall. It's a bit like a more gritty-looking Dungeon Knight -- procedural pieces that load at the end of each. Lot of flexibility in builds. Not much as far as story, from what I can tell -- but if you're wanting a lot of combat, it has that. Not too many enemy types I'm seeing, but still might scratch that dungeon-crawler itch.
well its really unfinished the fireball spell leads to frame drops and there are a op problems with this game. ill buy again later
