YOWWW! This is FREE!?!? Quite remarkable. And as far as disabled/impaired enabled, I was able to sit in my chair with my Oculus cord hanging from a lamp above, and spin and spin while I fired away!!! Granted, it's a bit limited as to gameplay, but graphics are stellar, and bad guys blow apart nicely. Sophie's Guardian, for what I've seen of it so far, is a wonder and a joy, even (seemingly) for the more impaired gamers. Get it, enjoy it, and spend NOTHING! Thank you.

Tons of potential here. The intro sorry was a great start and the scene is very creepypasta. The multiplayer was a good time, but the dev(s) needs to put a little more love into the game before I can fully recommend it. Till then it gets a thumbs up in hopes of future improvements. Modding is fine and dandy, but a dev can't bank on the community making all the content.

"Sophie's Guardian" is a simple, mediocre VR tech demo. What do you do in the game? You're trapped in a creepy room fighting hordes of dolls. Wave your arms around in VR, smash the fire button and shoot waves of (hopefully not asset flipped) creepy dolls... that's it, that's all there is to it. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. This game is fairly dated at 7 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $9 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. It's also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who paid money for this... nobody got refunded. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 14 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
Not sure if my heart is beating anymore.
For a free 300MB game it's worth a download. There is not a whole lot of content, but again...it's free. It's a pretty decent time killer if you have like 20 minutes of dead space while you're waiting for a pizza to cook or something. Played on HTC Vive. Not bad...not great.. a rockin' 6.5/10
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
So this is a 360 wave shooter where you are a teddy bear bent on putting lots of bullets into creepy dolls coming towards you. It has four different modes. There's the tutorial which is actually the normal mode. Then there's a gunslinger mode where everything pops out faster vs the normal mode. There's the carnival mode which is almost like the gunslinger except balloons pop out where you can get powerups, including health. Finally, there's a puppeteer mode which is a local multiplayer mode where one person is in the VR headset and the other person controls the spawns. There is no teleportation or free movement. I believe there are 5 different types of enemies and each wave just brings out more and more of them. You survive as long as you can and there's leaderboards for bragging rights. The graphics are okay, especially for a free title. Things are out of proportion though. There's only one environment. You only have the two guns you start out with, although you can power them up in certain modes. You select items in the menu by shooting them. Behind you, there's an intro where you can see the animated short story and it's actually good. Because it is free, I can recommend this title. Not sure I'd pay more than .99 cents for it though. Rate 6/10.
Very basic wave shooter with 1 weapon that has unlimited ammo, 1 level, and few variation of enemies. There doesnt seem to be an ending or final objective. That being said the athmosphere is well done, its spooky and the enemies are really creepy. But this game shows its age, it can be entertaining for 10min but after that its just the same. But, I mean, its Free... So if you need a very basic and creepy wave shooter to kill some time you could get this.
