Fazit: wimmeln statt wimmern ^^
The story gets going instantly. It was decent. The comic book style cut scenes were a nice change. Some of the HOGs got a little difficult. Some of the mini games were pretty challenging. I liked the high skill level needed for this game. It definitely isn't for amateur HOG players. There is no map so knowing what to do next does get tricky. I did not use the eye feature or hit the guide at the top because that would have felt like cheating. Overall good game for it being older.
Terrible game. Backed out of a puzzle scene to reset puzzle and got a black screen. Tried quitting and restarting the game 3 times, but to no avail! Kept loaded to the last scene , the black screen. No way to fix it. Was half way through the game, not restarting the game from beginning, so had to uninstall the game
This game started out decently, and the protagonist acts more like an actual human than most HOG protags. The 2D comic-style cutscenes were nice. Story is pretty normal for a HOG, and there are tons of hidden object scenes. The game offers an “eye” button to identify all clickable hotspots, which is helpful. But this game is extremely buggy. It constantly fails to register mouse clicks, both in hidden object scenes and in general scenes. Very frustrating. There's also no map, even though solutions sometimes require backtracking to different locations for a new hidden object scene that you couldn't have had any idea would be available. Also, minor, but I don't like the "back arrow" at the right-bottom corner instead of just an invisible hotspot at the bottom of the screen like in a normal HOG. Unintuitive and just feels like bad design. But the icing on the cake was a fatal bug that makes it impossible for me to continue. I had to quit the game in the middle of a mini-game, so I clicked "back" to return to the general scene and exited the game from there, but when I tried to reload later, all I got was a black screen. Multiple tries all elicited the same result. Don't want to restart and painstakingly have to click every item five times again before the game will accept it, so yeah, really don't think I can recommend this game.
Ho hum... This isn't so bad, but it has it's issues. While the artwork is nice... I feel like the game isn't that fun to play. Even though this one doesn't have 3 million ways to backtrack... It's just you going from one spot to another, then needing an item and going back to other spots... Hoping the H.O. scenes respawned and you can get that said item. That and H.O. scenes themselves can be a bit naughty. As in... You can click on the item multiple times and it wont register it. Bonus game is more backtracking and ehhhhhh... I didn't feel any smarter when I was done. That and some mini-games... *-* Also the story was weird... I mean I get it... But where in the hell did the parents come from...? And... Let's just leave it at that. Eh well. *shrugs*
Excellent hidden object scenes, and they're not stingy with them. Some of the puzzles are a bit on the tough side. Plot, voice acting etc are fairly standard for the genre.

This is a good little game! The gameplay is excellent, if short. I finished it in under 3 hours and got all achievements. But the puzzles are varied yet logical, and it's a good mix of puzzle types as well. I especially liked the hidden object "reassembly" scenes. The story is basic and the cut scenes are...more crudely drawn...compared to the beauty of the actual game portion. That was the only bit that was jarring during play. I got it on sale and it was totally worth it.
just over 6 hrs play time. stragedy guide is detailed so don't get lost although there is a lot of back and forth in the game it's easy to play and remember where you have to go
