Sonic
The fact that my play-time is overstated by around 18 hours is symptomatic of the executable(s) failing to terminate correctly. Quite why Sega packaged Sonic Generations in its own executable is beyond me, and the two apparently don't talk to each other very well... And quite why Sega doesn't recognise dpad inputs as well as stick inputs in-game is unfathomable (Steam Input is your friend). Sonic Generations is... fine at best, but generally not very good. The level design just feels like it gets in the way so much. It does get pretty annoying in places, especially on a first look at a level. But it's never so bad as to be rage-quit inducing. It's just not that fun. Shadow Generations has much higher highs. Especially early doors, the game is much more fluid and intuitive to play. But later in the game, Shadow's power-ups are trotted out in tedious navigation challenges that are just pretty dull, and the levels become split-second-reaction drills to see if you remembered the controls for your new power a split second after seeing *something* pop up on screen. Fortunately, there's no real consequence for death. And the bosses have checkpoints, which is always good of what would otherwise be rubbish Sonic bosses. The open world is... okay, but after scratching the surface of what there is to explore you realise there's not much there. There's collectables and Big the Cat is there bit it's a bit of a snooze after a while. The music is perfectly cromulent - it does its job whilst being unobtrusive and unmemorable. Graphically, both games look great. I had a little stuttering at times during Shadow cutscene, but otherwise they ran well enough The price is where this game goes quite badly awry. I beat both campaigns in a very leisurely 12 hours. Very leisurely. A £44.99 price tag for a compilation of a pretty mediocre game and an okay game that only last 12 hours is very steep. I paid £22.49 and felt like I'd been stung. I'd have been happier had I spent £15. So if there's a really deep discount, I'd say "fill yer boots".But until then you're best of waiting - you're not missing out on that much.
Shado!
sonic, x, shadow gen's in a both a nice return to form for sonic but also a refreshing new take on the hedghogs formula. i prefure the shadow campain to sonics and yes it was a bit short but i had so much fun i didnt mind it, if my biggest complant is not wanting it to end, then sega and sonic team are on the right track and if dare to say with frontires before it and crossworlds after it i think sonic has found the path they were on in the 90's and early 2000's again and i couldnt be more happy
прошел режим шэдоу на 100% и это имба. Форсес так не смог
Frednic and Odadow generations
good soundtrack, sonic gens controlles are ass, shadow gens is better, over all good game
