God, this game is simply incredible. Starting with Sonic Generations, the game is the masterpiece it used to be, but Shadow Generations is something else entirely. The gameplay is sublime, the bosses are incredible. I haven't had this much fun with a Sonic game since Frontiers came out. A 10/10 and absolutely recommended.

This game feels like a cheap mobile game don’t waste your money
I'm not a huge fan of Sonic media. Even sonic generations and mania never really sold me on the franchise. So when I tell you that Shadow generations is absolute PEAK, you should get it! It evolves the "run and homing attack" almost monotonous gameplay of modern sonic games by adding many "Doom" movement mechanics, chaos control, spears, boost for more speed and a super satisfying sandbox of a hub world to play in between missions. It's the natural evolution this franchise has needed while remaining in the solid 2/3D platforming space without going too far off track or making you play as Sonics annoying group of friends. Now after having played a bit of sonic generations (since you can only buy shadow through sonicxshadow even if you already own the original generations) I remember why I didn't like it. The camera is too zoomed in and collectibles/hazards are avoidable through repeated runs and precise timing, otherwise they pass too quickly. It also feels less responsive than shadow overall. Get this on a discount to reflect that only one of the two games in this bundle is good, but the good one is REALLY good!

Shadow Generations is my second favorite game of all time you are all genuinely missing if you don't play it. It has solid music, great level design, an amazing story, and so much more. And Sonic generations is an incredible game as well. If you have never played a Sonic game before this is your in for a great time!
