This game is amazing!!
PEAK Sonic Generations was already the best 3D Sonic, this new version polished some bugs. As Shadow, its very good too. Levels and bossfights are iconic and fun, white space is very big to discover and OST is peak. Im addicted to Rail Canyon act 1. But i have 2 criticism: very low Maria and Gerald screen time and general interaction, and finding remaining chests at white place
game is ass 10/10 would recomend

8/10, so close to perfection but not there yet For the lackluster "story" of base Generations, you get a new story that has the equal greatness of the 1998-2009s Sonic stories with character growth, themes and a sweet ending Not only does this celebrate Shadow's history in the series, it pays even greater respect to Sonic's series history with many more new unseen concept art, music, so much more of the Early-Mid 2000s, an era where SEGA would rather not acknowledge but Sonic Team that loves their work despite their ups and downs The implementation of the Doom Powers and Chaos Spears feel such a greater revamped of the concepts of the Weapons and Vehicles of Shadow the Hedgehog + Sonic 06 but here they don't feel out of place or annoying to utilize So much content to sink your teeth in a very expanded White Space that gives you a lot of room to get used to the controls and get collectibles with charming and in character dialogue for everybody If you want a starting point for this series if you don't have a PC to play the other games - Then this collection is for you as not only does it have really fun gameplay - It contextualizes Shadow's History in the Main Menu, Gerald's diary as you don't have to scour through the Internet to read specific information that was only in Japan: The Ancient Ring from Sonic 3's manual, Maria's Illness, ALL of Gerald's diaries from Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Battle, Sonic Rivals 2 and his descent to madness - Everything is nearly here (Dark Beginnings should've been included in the game too!) Shadow has been and will always be awesome, the character that changed the course of my teenage years even at my lowest point and him getting a whole game and year to himself made me extremely happy as to how things have changed over the years growing up with this series // RANT INCOMING // Unfortunately, it's another boost game where a lot of the gameplay, while fresh, has overstayed its welcome compared to the other Formulas (Adventure, Heroes, Storybooks), where a lot of the depth of levels of Rail Canyon feel really boring as you're just holding Boost without such mechanics of the crouch and leaning that added more depth, you're quite essentially playing Subway Surfers, it's also the diet version of the formula built on top of Sonic Lost World where acceleration while jogging is worse, short hopping is gone and the rings being drawn to you while you boost is gone, quick stepping overshoots where you want to go (Kingdom Valley) Unskipable cutscenes in the middle of the levels where a lot of the magic is gone after subsequent replays if you want to time attack begin, they feel really pace breaking and annoying - They are great for story purposes but it gets to a point if you want to S Rank levels/bosses like Neo Devil Doom, you have to watch minutes of the final cutscene just to see what rank you got or if you missed a collectible in the levels None of these make the entire game terrible but they're just mild annoyances, everything is really good and fun to play with some smaller switchups to the formula (Chaos Control, Chaos Spear stunning, Doom Powers)! The Existence of Doom Zone - Imagine if this was like Sonic in place of Shadow and every time you entered Doom Zone it was called “Egg Zone” and you’re playing in Green Hill Zone and then for the last level in the game to be Green Hill Zone too I don't mind levels like Sunset Heights or Chaos Island because: 1. Episode Shadow exists in Forces 2. Chaos Island is there to probably save resources and time (the level turned out to be pretty good too) But where is the level that represents Shadow's own game? Westopolis, Final Haunt/Black Comet/The Last Way, hell even Glyphic Canyon/Sky Troops fit the level with the Doom Wing segments and the Black Arms are greatly connected to those areas in some way - Maybe there's something I'm missing here or there's only so much they can reference 2000s Sonic content? Radical Highway has been pretty much become Shadow's glorified Green Hill Zone, but it's fine Also Sonic looks terrible compared to his 2011 counterpart - These models are WAY overdue of their time, since 2005 and none of the Doom Power cutscenes make these characters look cool - They look goofy because the characters and their visual style doesn't do them any favors, what happened to the previous models of the 2000s? (RIP Shadow Androids)
Ah, e claro, a história é LINDA! Os flashbacks dele com a Maria, os diálogos deles, pô... Rapaz, que incrível. E ainda tem as referências aos jogos anteriores, que são bem legais ksksk
this game is peak, nothing else.
