this is complete garbage, mechanics suck, the gameplay sucks, boss fights suck and are horribly designed, wouldnt recommend this satanic stinking ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a sorry excuse sega game to anybody.
It's ok. 6/10

This game is like the New Super Mario Bros. of Sonic games (which after the NSMB series first entry, ♥♥♥♥ started getting too stale and arguably neutered for certain entries), and this game really doesn't do. The physics are completely off, the lighting is atrocious, and the instrumentation of the songs is Jun Senoue trying to be "hip with the kids" despite his work on Sonic 3 & Knuckles being outstanding. This game is not that good. That being said, I find it hard to dislike it. Maybe it's my nostalgia for the mobile port of the game (which, historically, was what this game was designed for) and certain zones being better than their classic counterparts (shoutouts to Lost Labyrinth & Mad Gear). I think this game is a neat part of Sonic history, and I love it for what it is, but you're better off skipping this one if you're not nostalgically blind like I am.
I have never played a game so garbage in my entire life that even playing through a minute of a level of the game has made me want to blow my own brains out. This "game" has to be the worst thing I have ever experienced in my 17 years of living and as someone who plays games on the daily I've played some horrible games. You could excuse it as being bad because its a mobile game, but I have SEEN good mobile games and this just did not compare to it, it felt more like a Roblox slop game made for some extra cash in order to replicate the real deal and even then that's generous and do not get me started on those special stages.
eu sinseramente gostei desse jogo mais queria que a sega fizesse um remake mudando os graficos os bugs e adicionar mais fazes ent dou uma nota 7/10
sonic 4 is one of those rare game that the more you play and come back to it the more you find to hate about it one of the worst 2d sonic games ever made unless you are a hard core sonic fan worse than 06 and a blemish on sonics relatively good history with 2d games
Comprei sabendo que era ruim, mas me surpreendi, é horrível.
Either play the older or newer games. This one is just terrible, and no I'm not just riding a hate wave. So I got to they Labyrinth stage boss fight and... I hope whoever designed this doesn't still design anything. First you have to do a running stretch through traps and water to get to the actual boss fight which is you... dodging pillars that will insta-kill you by smashing you into walls/ceiling/each-other and force you to do the running stretch. Worse yet you can get punished for hitting the boss, knocking you to where you'll get killed. This is just terrible design. Overall Sonic just does not move fluidly and there just doesn't feel the speed of other games.
The hate this game gets is not overblown, it really is that bad. let's see here...looks really ugly and is not very appealing to look at, at all. it plays very strange, doesn't function like the classic games AT ALL, sonic always uncurls, feels slow, get stopped by anything, wonky physics, sometimes homing attacking things it just...HURT you for no reason. Levels are uninspired to the max, Splash Hill was the only one I somewhat liked (wtf were they thinking with Lost Labyrinth Act 2 bruh). The Special Stages suck, the last 3 or 4 of them are very ANNOYING, now for the worse part, 2 of these god forsaken achievements, "Untouchable" is doable when you learn how all the phases work, but the physics make it a NIGHTMARE, it's never consistent and Eggman takes his sweet ol' time leaving the damn room to start the next boss, but "ENEMY HUNTER" OH MY GOD, BROTHER not ONLY is this one SO time consuming enough for NO reason at all, but this achievement is literally BUGGED and will never be fixed, the bug is that your progress of the amount of enemies destroyed RESETS when you CLOSE the game, the most disgraceful achievement I have EVER seen in a Sonic game, like this is disgusting. I did it tho. and I will make sure to never come back to this game again, sorry. (HOWEVER there is a mod on Game Banana that apparently fixes the "Enemy Hunter" Achievement bug, but this being fixed or not is STILL gonna take you a WHILE just to get it, it's awful, good luck.) but yeah, this bs should have STAYED "Sonic the Mobile", that's all.
