my kids (5 and 4) are learning how to use an Xbox controller on this game. They keep forgetting that the joystick controls the steering, and not pulling the controller to the left and right. They're fans of Sonic, and its a great bonding experience for the family. 10/10
I love this game so much, but the pc port doesn't even boot if you dont change the compability mode to windows 7, and in general it's not stable at all i would just recommend emulating the ps3/xbox 360/wii u version instead tbh
this takes the previous title and out does it by a million, absolutely love this game, trying to S rank is incredibly anoyying but hey thats exepected it's an S rank, It's incredibly anoyying when all the cpu's are passing you like mad and throwing everything at you every half a second, but once you figure out how to go round the track the fastest way, BOY it is satistfying, i reccomend practicing the tracks your struggling with in time trail mode first try and beat the the exepert ghost, then give the hard missions anthor shot, i will admit the only thing i don't like is that i haven't found an option to do all 3 phases of the track in time trail mode yet but other than that great game
Although the game is old, I only bought it in 2026 on a whim seeing the cheap Steam sale, so this is an up-to-date review. Honestly, this game is amazing. I cannot recommend it enough to anyone! It can be played be a casual Sonic fan, a sweaty racing game player, or a group of friends looking for a quick laugh. This is due to it being an overall great game, with natural feeling fun mechanics (unlike clunky CrossWorlds), a weird but varied roster, and graphics that hold up so well today. This is the best kart racer officially available to us PC players due to missing out on Mario and Crash Bandicoot, although some users argue that this game is even better. And if you are considering this game on another device, I would not suggest it as the PC port is the definitive way to play with the most characters and the most active community (I can always seem to get a near full race lobby within 2 minutes, but it may be the only only one xD). The skill floor is low allowing families and casuals to have fun (especially with local co-op), whilst the skill ceiling is so high allowing mastery and an insane but rewarding 8/10 difficulty 100%. I personally am attempting this and only have the infamous 'Yokozuna' achievement left which I am NOT looking forward to. Some worse aspects however include: - Abilities aren't varied or fun enough - Little to no modding - Expert mode AI is often more frustrating and RNG-based rather than challenging - Some users struggle launching the game upon purchase but easy fixes exist - I sometimes get random white flashes and then the game goes slo-mo, but it is very short and happens rarely Overall, I highly recommend this game for literally every type of player. I wasn't even a Sonic or kart racing fan before this! Side note: Do try look for a sale as the game can get very cheap, sites like SteamDB track historical lows, and the collection edition comes with every DLC except from YogsCast which honestly is a skip anyways.
Zerei meu jogo preferido de corrida do Sonic :D ------------------------------------------------------------------ História: O jogo não tem uma história! Mas possui um World Tour, Grand Pix, Time Attack, Single Race e o Multiplayer ainda funciona.
This game never gets old 😆
One of the best sequels of all time and one of the best kart racers ever made, but dear god what happened to the TF2 characters and their voices
Works fine, controller support is eh, but this is my childhood. 11/10
