SOMA

This is the first ever proper I game completed. Anything before were just online games and what not. As a long-time gaming youtube watcher whenever I finally got the opportunity to buy and play games, Soma was a no-brainer. Even having seen over 10 hours of people talking about it, it's never the same thing as actually playing it. Having spent even less time playing Soma than watching people talk about it i can say this much: this game broke my heart so many times I lost track. The plot twists, incredibly thoroughly prepared backstory, the little bits and pieces all around you just make up such a unique and horrifyingly personal story, it takes you on the ride of your life. I will not be playing any other games for a while, I need to process this. Please play this, and please make sure you take your time doing so. I'm replaying this once I feel better,

It's rare in my experience for a game to have a story that is this genuinely haunting. The premise, the journey, the ending, all of the things that have to be done for the purpose of saving humanity. There wasn't a single moment in the entire story that I wasn't captivated and full of dread for what would happen to these characters. The scenario itself is also genuinely the sort of thing I have nightmares about, so it'll be good to incorporate the imagery into my subconscious to have even worse nightmares! While the story was definitely worth my time, and worth what I paid for it, the gameplay was subpar. You can really feel the entire time that the game was made in 2015 and a cousin of the Amnesia series. I found it enjoyable to dig around in computer files and read old logs of things, but when it came to something as simple as opening certain kinds of doors or avoiding monsters I tended to get a bit annoyed, though not annoyed enough to want to stop playing. If you can deal with the slightly outdated gameplay, I highly recommend it.

Bought SOMA ages ago and didn't play it because the performance was bad. The issue was simple, if your monitor is on anything higher than 60hz it hates it. But after finally getting passed that this is easily one of my favourite games and I won't stop thinking about it.

Got it on sale and glad I did. It looks good on paper but I quickly found my self getting frustrated with mechanics. It felt more like a point and click adventure game or walking simulator more then anything else. Not being able to do anything at all if you happened to get caught/cornered by one of the creatures was also a pain. After about 6 hours I had enough and uninstalled it.

Jogo de Terror Psicológico, mesma empresa que fez amnesia só pode ser mais um jogão. Recomendo bastante e um experiencia única. Simplesmente EXcelente.
