Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE

The gameplay is surprisingly fun, don't get your hopes up on multiplayer tough. It's quite literally useless, all the achievements and cool profile decorations are from playing alone and more players only increase the enemies hp for no extra reward. If you want to carry a friend that somehow really really sucks at this game then I guess maybe? But even there it would be easier for them to solo. How funny... playing Solo is better in the Solo leveling game who would've thought.

While it is fun for someone that's a fan of the novel and manhwa. The story mode is kinda meh and it is not very long with the Jeju Island raid being the last chapter and a DLC on top of that. Think it took me around 23 hours of gameplay to go through the first 10 chapters. End game material is honestly kinda horrendous. Bosses are simply just meat shields with god knows how much hp and unless you're running specific tank builds they can almost all just one shot you with heavy attacks when a fight can very much take 10 minutes. The difficulty scaling on bosses are also very wide with some bosses having insanly easy attack patterns (like all the dragons) and some bosses being honestly impossible unless you're very overleveld. It's also very much grinding to get to max level and don't even get me started on T10 armor. With my PC the fps drops a lot and the game freezes for a couple seconds as soon as i summon my shadows but that could very much jsut be my PC aswell. With that said I would recommend if you like repetitive grinding to get stronger gear and just long bossfights overall. I would NEVER buy this game on full price though so I would recommend getting it on sale as i did But overall like 7/10 with the gameplay in it's core being kinda fun.
